Mitchison and Sons, Inc was founded in 1991 by Kyle Mitchison. Before starting his excavation company he founded Mitchison Trucking in 1989 where he hauled aggregates for multiple construction companies and home owners in the upstate New York region. As the company began to grow, Kyle sought the help of his three sons, Travis, Cody and Austin to use their skills to help in various areas of the company.
With the growth of the company and scope of work, Mitchison and Sons, Inc continues to value a family approach to their work. The growth has proved great success and continues to grow every day.

This review is long overdue! Mitchison and Sons worked for me 10 years ago prepping two sites for horse barns. The highest quality site prep then.
The most current project we’ve contracted them for was another barn. This project was more difficult. We not only had site prep on a hilly knob, but a driveway around a large boggy pond to get to the job site. Mitchison and sons are true artists, not only do they create the best site pads, they know what material is needed for each difficult project’s location. This excavating site for a barn was created with a flat circular drive around the barn
