With cold weather on the way, you may be worried about certain plants handling the freezing temperatures. An easy way to protect more tender plants is to add a 3-6 inch layer of mulch! There are many benefits of mulching your plants - one of the biggest is that it regulates soil temperature.
In the summer it keeps soil temperature down which prevents evaporation and can help retain up to 80% more water. In the winter it insulates roots and keeps the soil warmer. In addition, a layer of mulch prevents weeds.

After 6 years of doing small landscape jobs around Tuolumne County, George Kirk opened Solomon's Gardens Nursery in Sonora. With only enough greenery to cover about 1/4-acre of land, the 4-acre nursery seemed pretty empty at first. Over time, however, Solomon's Gardens Nursery began to grow.literally!

We carry a selection of beautiful pots by AW Pottery! These unique pots can be planted in or used as decoration around your property. They are freeze-proof so you don't have to worry about them cracking in the winter, and they are sturdy enough to last for years to come (we recently sold a large pot that has been at the nursery since 1994 - and it was still in perfect condition).

Ordered a birthday present for a family member and Sharai helped me select a beautiful tree and have it delivered. I do not live in the area and they were kind enough to take pictures of the trees they had available and emailed them to me. They also delivered it not just on time but early. I want to thank Solomon’s Gardens Nursery for all their help! If you need plants or trees for a memorial gift they are the ones to go to. I now live out of state and needed a memorial tree. Sharai answered my call and she was so sweet and caring when I explained the situation. She sent me pictures so I could pick the tree I wanted. They said they would deliver it today and it’s already on it’s way! I can’t say enough about this company, the owner and Sharai as she made such a nice card to go with the tree! I will always use Solomon’s! They are the best! Wish I could give them a 10!
