Compared to suspended ceiling & drop ceiling systems, installing CeilingConnex surface mount ceiling tiles and grids are simple and easy. Compared to drop ceiling systems, installing a CeilingConnex ceiling grid is simple and easy. The grid system mounts directly to your joists; there are no wires to twist, just a clean, simple ceiling grid, and only basic tools are required.
The ceiling grid can be stapled or screwed in place and our mission ceiling tiles can be cut with a scissors. When you install a suspended ceiling, you can lose as much as six inches of ceiling height. However, with a surface mount ceiling grid, you only lose about an inch. Keeping convenient access to the plumbing and electrical systems in your home is one of the advantages of a ceiling tile system.
With our interlocking-T system, you still have access to everything above the installed ceiling. Simply rock the lower T back and forth while pulling down and it will unsnap from the main T. You or your contractor can then make any changes or repairs to plumbing or wiring.
