Founded in 2004 by Ray Boychew Sr., Rayzor's Edge specializes in tree care and related services in Fairfield and New Haven County, CT. You may not realize that pruning is an important part of tree maintenance. Although it's not something you'd usually do every year, there are times when pruning becomes necessary for the health, appearance, and safety of your trees. Tree structure is an important factor in the life of a tree. Young trees should be pruned to encourage strong form, while older trees need pruning to maintain it.
After removing a tree on your property, you will, unfortunately, be left to deal with the remaining stump. Some people choose to leave the tree stump to rot away naturally, but most elect to have it removed. Ray and his team were outstanding. They were very professional throughout the process. I had a large white oak tree on a hill on the side of my house that was in an awkward position and surrounded by power lines. Ray's technology and skill took that tree down quickly and made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. His company is also very competitively priced. I was referred to Rayzor's Edge by a couple other people in my neighborhood who have used him and I would whole heartedly recommend his services.

After years of using “seasoned” firewood & being fed up with hissing, popping, smoking & poorly burning firewood, I decided to look into Country Kiln Firewood, a division of Rayzor’s Edge. I inquired via email & received a response that same day with a price quote. Having never paid that much for firewood before, I was hesitant but went ahead with the purchase.
My initial delivery date had to be rescheduled & although I was frustrated & disappointed, when I reached out to the owner Ray, he was immediately responsive. He promised that my firewood would be delivered on the 2nd date I was given

When they come to give you a quote, you not only get an honest and fair assessment of your needs, they also educate you on how to properly care for your trees. You can tell this is not just their business,

Highly recommend Ray and his team for any tree work. We received an estimate on the spot for removing almost 20 trees and stumps. Arrived as scheduled and they were very neat and efficient, safely removing all trees across 2 days with a crane from the driveway (no need to bring any large machinery into the yard). We were so impressed we asked if we could add to the job and remove a few more trees that weren't part of the initial job. Ray scheduled another day within a week to finish up. Courteous and professional team that we will definitely use again for future work!

Would never think of using or recommending anyone else. You may find cheaper, but you won’t find anyone more professional or cleaner. First, they actually call you back, usually within 1 business day. Second, they are clean and are very careful not to damage your property. Third, fully insured and happy to give you the insurance info. I’ve used them twice and honestly the best contractor I’ve ever used, out of ANY contractor!

My husband and I had a great experience with Rayzor's Edge. Cassandra came out to meet us and give us a quote and we couldn't have been more impressed with her knowledge of the trees that we were needed to be trimmed or cut down. And the project was perfectly priced! We already have a plan in place for phase two of our tree trimming and removal on our property for next year. I highly recommend them! I even gave my next door neighbor who is talking about cutting down their tree the pamphlet and card Cassandra gave us.
