RED ALERT - if you heard any scary story in your life about contractor they are worst then that. We hired them for 330 sq ft addition in the house and they took 9 months and still did not complete it. Ended up abandoning our project and asking for 100% payment. We spent more then 100k and still our project is not complete and whatever they did we need to spend more to fix it. They don't care about customer if you live in the house and specialty if you have kids, be very careful.

Trist Design & Build company did a fantastic job with the two remodeling projects we had done over the past two years in San Jose. I would refer to the folks that do the remodeling work for them as artisans, as that is the level of their work and professionalism. The work was always on-going from start to finish. We never had to wonder about the work schedule, as they gave us a day to day calendar of work events. They never skipped a beat, unlike other companies that all of a sudden don't show up to do their work.

In late of 2019, we wanted to add an ADU onto our property for additional family members. We browsed around for architects and contractors, and we met Trist Design & Build for their architectural design first.
Our family were very satisfied with their consultation and advises on our plan. We were able to maximize our lot utility and came up with an architectural plan better than our expected idea. Also, at that time we had absolutely no idea about getting permit for ADU. Trist D&B put in excellent effort to design the plan and obtained the permit for us. We did not have to go through all the hassles
