Can you believe it? This chair could have been on its way out of the house, but when our team noticed that the chair had "really good bones" we felt it was worth a second look. The amazing guy who does our upholstery--and has done it for many years--gave us the nod and then came the fun of choosing fabrics.
There are four different fabrics on this chair and it is fun from the front and from the back! Here are two small footstools that become the focal points for a small section of a room. The antique stool on the right is even equipped with casters so that it moves easily around the room--which is a good thing for a footstool.
The ruched pale grey velvet complements the ironwork and the brass tacks. The middle photo is a stool on its way to repurposing--and finished up in the photo on the right. Candy Anady Interiors has a very amazing upholsterer with whom she has worked for many years. He is a master at updating and restyling furniture!

Coastal living is what many of us dream about and this condo has been beautifully updated to reflect the gorgeous spot where it sits on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Offering a wonderful way to control the California sun, the shutters in the dining nook allow for a room with a view as well. The beachy high window treatments give some added color.
This very contemporary house is situated in a Mediterranean biome on the side of a hill overlooking a small valley; but once inside, color abounds. Huge windows offer a great view, but the colors inside the house always draw the eye back to the accessories. The living room fireplace is fitted with candles and intimate seating with a piano available for entertaining.
This house is beautifully situated in the country surrounded by horses and Mediterranean landscaping so that you are caught up in the spirit of the house before you ever even get inside. Custom built and decorated, the round entry features a welcoming blessing, a staircase with a lovely landing, and a view of the dining and living rooms.
When the decision is made to paint, there is this indescribable itch to do it NOW! But resist the urge, take your time and look at all the various tints and shades of the color you think you want. Bring several of the small swatches home. Paste them up where the light will hit them at all times of the day.
