I made an appointment to checkout a car and was 30 minutes away from the dealership only to receive a phone call saying that someone else was looking at the car I made an appointment to see. I received another phone call when I was 15 minutes from the dealership for my appointment and they told me they just sold the car I drove almost 2 hours to look at and possibly buy it. Purchased vehicle and next day truck showed immediate symptoms of bad timing chain. Check engine light, rubbing timing chain sounds upon start up.
Went to dealership with complaint and initial diagnosis was O2 sensor though obvious code look up showed timing. Tech cleared code and sent me on my way. Check light returned right away, and upon return next day was told timing component issue and was asked if I had purchased the warranty which I had not.
