We are so glad to have found Sam as our Handyman. We had many projects after moving into a new house; we had contacted and hired other handymen initially but stopped the search when we found Sam. Sam is so easy to work with! I needed someone who could go to my rental property and fix a loose faucet.
I texted Sam about what I needed and the renter's contact info and Sam set up an appointment with the renter quickly, went out to do the repair, and kept me informed every step of the way. Sam provides many different payment options. My loose faucet was fixed quickly and easily. Sam is a delight. He repaired an odd mix up of electrical wiring on my deck that two previous contractors could not repair.

My father, Pete Russo started the business in 2006. We worked together for several years as Russo Home Improvement. Taking on the small tasks that come up as a homeowner. Today, I work on most projects alone or with my helper Nick, Dad prefers traveling around the country with Mom. Nick B. came to repair our front door that wouldn't close properly. He was friendly and personable, and took a cue from me to wear a mask (I still do around strangers because I work with the public and know of infected coworkers). He didn't mind my asking questions and encouraged it, and explained things as he worked. He also took great care to clean up the area afterwards, even vacuuming the doormat before leaving.

Sam has helped us out several times. He is always on time, systematic, thorough, organized, and efficient with his and our time. He is courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, and funny. He is also innovative. Sam is relentless and sticks with a job to the end. He cleans up afterward as well.
Sam has worked on ceiling fan/light, outlet switches, decking, lighting, furniture repair, closet door adjustment, ring installation, security light/camera installation and even helped put awkward boxes into the garage attic.

Updating my review as Nick with Sam Russian Handyman has assisted us multiple times and he is always prompt, super professional, courteous friendly and a pro at his work. We've had the following work done:
- 3 security cameras installed and with perfect angles on the first set up.
- a large mirror in entrance hall
- a wonderful piece of art also hung in hall
- Ring Doorbell
And neighbors had various items completed on our referral by Sam and Nick.

Hired Sam back in March 2021 for a whole slew of projects before moving into my new home and several times afterwards. Projects included putting up light fixtures, installing plumbing fixtures, curtain rods/curtains for the whole house, blinds, assembling several pieces of furniture, putting up bird deterrent spikes, putting up a fireplace mantle, installing video doorbell. Sam and Nick have both been great. They are personable, prompt, trustworthy, diligent, and have integrity. They have stayed late to finish up work and even came in on a Saturday as they weren't able to finish up the work

This is my second time calling Sam Russo Handyman service. His employee Nick was super nice and did an awesome job.
His communication is great. He text me and said he was available to come early if, that works for me.
The installation didn't take long. He had all the right tools.

Sam responds to my inquiries in a timely manner to help schedule projects.
Nick has been to my home for multiple projects over the last 18 months or so. He is friendly and does good work. He understands that I'm not handy myself and need guidance on what is needed for some projects. His work is top notch. He even likes my cats. More important, they like him.

Sam was completely unprofessional when he came to my house this morning, after we explained that we were smelling a moldy smell under our sink he told both me and my mom we were crazy and out of touch with reality. He then began raising his voice at us and slamming our cabinets. I DO NOT recommend letting this unstable man into your home.

I had a problem with a couple of bedroom doors that wouldn't fully close. Nick of Sam Russo Handyman came to the house to fix the doors. He explained why the doors wouldn't close and what he could do. Nick was very professional and got the job done. Doors now work great. While he was at the house, I had him give cost estimates of other things that needed fixing. Sam Russo Handyman will be the business I will turn to the next time I need a handyman.

I hired Sam to install three outside light fixtures and he came out in the rain to do it. Also, while he was here, my gate was messed up and he re-hung it for me so that it's working again. I found Sam to be cordial, professional, and knowledgable. His prices are fair and I am definately going to use him again for the things I can no longer do for myself. Thank you, Sam!!

Sam has been a huge help! He helped repair/replace a fallen shelf, a set of broken blinds, and a broken garbage disposal. All in a couple short hours.
He was upfront with my quote, fast with responding, on time, and sent pics of his work after it was done. He even took the time to examine an issue w the toilet (the flange was broken and toilet was leaking at the bottom), but he was professional enough to refer me to someone else as it was a little outside his scope. I really respect that he didn't try to fix it without being totally sure he could. Some others might do it and make it worse

Called Sam back again because the first door handle was bent and unable to install. We had a hard time getting the company to replace it - unfortunately, the second handle was bent as well. So we have to get another handle and call Sam back -- I told him to charge us for his time anyway, and was told we would not be charged because the job wasn't completed. No fault of Mr. Russo, in fact, his installer was able to straighten the handle, but the thumb turn would not fit on our door. We will try again with new hardware.

I would love to keep Sam all to myself but I just had to write a review. He did an amazing job with small projects around my home. We got new shelves in bathrooms, hammocks hung from the ceiling, and a closet revamp with new closet rod and supports. Sam is very polite, professional, fast, and friendly. The work he does is great and you should not hesitate to give him a call for your projects.
I will 100% be hiring Sam again for the future.

Sam and Nick are absolute treasures! I contacted Sam through Yelp about installing a bath exhaust fan. He replied promptly and asked some intelligent questions about my project, which impressed me and made me feel confident in his expertise and his attention to detail. I scheduled the work, and on the agreed day Sam and Nick arrived on time and prepared.

Omg, I found my all rounder handyman who can do all he said he can and fast too. Great communicator, great prices, easy going, thorough and efficient on doing his job. I didn't think he can do it all in one day but he did and early too so I can pick up my son from school.
Created me a different location for my attic access (was inside my closet who would want insulation always falling off to their clean clothes) moved to hallway, installed two backyard patio posts, and installed my bifold closet door.

So many great experiences! Sam has worked with me on many projects and consistently delivers. He is able to communicate, responds to inquiries in a timely fashion, shows up on time, prepared and ready to get things done. He is keenly aware of his professional scope and is happy to assist in problem solving as needed. He is often booked out a few weeks or more, however it's worth the wait. I, like many others, have had my share of flakey contractors.... Sam simply takes that worry off the table.
