Over the past 35 years CHC has specialized in all phases of Residential & Commercial work including: Concrete, Asphalt, Cutting and Coring, Demolition & Removals, Excavation & Dirt Work and Ground Thawing. In addition to our array of specialties, we complete our work with top of the line equipment, a quality work force and over 35 years of combined experience.
Services
CHC specializes in various concrete services that have taken 35 years to evolve. With years of experience in the Rocky Mountain region, we have overcome the challenges of high altitude and cold weather. We have developed proven methods that address those challenges in dealing with the extreme elements, freeze-thaw cycles, and deicing materials used by governmental agencies.
Although the name says "Construction", CHC has grown into the area's leading asphalt paver. 35 years ago, CHC began specializing in driveways, pathways, roadways and parking lots. When a small asphalt company decided to close its doors, CHC took the opportunity to become more diversified. Purchasing their trucks, allowed us to become one of the only blacktop contractors servicing the Summit County and surrounding areas.
Although the name says "Construction", CHC has grown into the area's leading Civil Contractor. Through years of concrete construction, we have found it more and more difficult to keep schedules when we have to subcontract work for certain phases of a project. To overcome these difficulties, we started acquiring equipment that would allow us to perform all the site work civil package and eliminate the costly delays caused by others.
Columbine Hills Construction, Inc. owns and maintains a fleet of various trucks to fit your hauling and transportation needs. We currently have five tandem axle trucks as well as five end dumps and a side dump. We also have a flat bed and a lowboy. All of this equipment has rock hauling capabilities.
Hydronic Ground Heaters are designed to quickly, easily and economically thaw frozen ground, cure concrete, prevent frost and provide temporary air heat during cold weather conditions. These units can accelerate the concrete curing time by raising concrete to the ideal curing temperature of 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

They did a good job removing and replacing my asphalt driveway in Frisco in July 2020. Great attention to detail. Nice job on grading for tricky runoff. They installed a pipe I supplied to create a conduit under the driveway and didn't add to their original quote. The only other reputable company I found was A-Peak. I gave up on A-Peak after one year with an open job order when a friend recommended Columbine. Columbine was able to get to my job within two months for a 20% lower price and 20% more material than A-Peak had quoted. The good companies make their money in Summit County doing the commercial
