Southern Lighting Company is a distributor of commercial grade lighting products including lamps, ballasts, fixtures and retrofit kits with a strong focus on energy efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The combination of a Ceramic Metal Halide lamp with an Electronic Ballast is cost efficient and simple retrofit of high wattage (up to 1000-watt MH or HPS) lamps with magnetic ballasts. The result is an energy-efficient solution that typically saves over 50% of energy consumption, while providing a higher quality of light.
LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are becoming one of the most energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies available today. They provide significant energy savings while producing equivalent light output for many applications. LEDs' benefits include long life (10 years or more), cool operating temperatures, no mercury content so, combined with their lower energy consumption, LEDs provide an attractive alternative to other lighting products.
By using electromagnetic fields, induction lamps are able to produce more visible light than traditional lighting sources while reducing power consumption by up to 50%. Also, because there is no filaments or electrodes to burn out, induction lamps last about 5 times longer than High Pressure Sodium and Metal Halide bulbs.
Light Emitting Plasma (LEP) is a small, high-intensity light source that is energy efficient and lasts over 50,000 hours.
