Michael Cates and his wife, Jodie, started a one-man construction company while Michael was working as a full-time firefighter in the Dallas area. Over the years, business began to grow, as did their family. In 2005, having a 3-year-old son and 5-year-old twin girls, Michael and Jodie decided it was time to build a house that better suite the families needs and began construction on their dream home.

I contacted this company for a bid on a bathroom remodel in July of 2017. The communication was bad from the beginning and they showed up late for the estimate. The walk through and measurements were taken and I was told a written estimate would be done in 7-10 days. I never got a response to phone calls, email or text. Totally unprofessional. If you don't feel you have the skills to do a job a simple response would have been sufficient. Upon mentioning this to a few locals they told me they were not surprised at all. They also forget that they live in the community they work in and flip people
