For the past 3 years I've been offering my services locally as a handyman, drawing on a lifetime of repairing all manner of things from helicopters to toasters. As one of the pictures below may indicate, a lot of that experience, 27 years, has been with automobiles. The significance there is I learned a lot about helping people take care of something very important to their daily life and I like being in that role.

As a handyman, I especially enjoyed working on appliances, so I enrolled in a very comprehensive appliance repair course. As of springtime 2014 I am ready to specialize in appliance repair services to Storrs and neighboring towns.

Appointments, Service Charges, Special Offers Report

Service appointments are scheduled in 2 hour windows so you don't have to set aside your whole day or evening waiting for me. I will do my best to set a time that fits your schedule. There is a $75.00 service/diagnostic charge. If I cannot diagnose the problem there is no charge.

We have called on Fred a couple of times. The first time he fixed our dryer quickly and for a very reasonable price. When another (different) problem arose with the dryer he came out, spent 20 minutes diagnosing the problem and then suggested we contact the manufacturer for a free service given the problem stemmed from a faulty part (he was right). He charged us nothing for the service. Really nice and honest person as well as being very good at what he does. Can't recommend him highly enough.

We thought our dishwasher was done for, but Fred deftly diagnosed the problem and fixed it so that the machine worked better than it ever had before. He was right on time and right on the money. Put him on your speed dial.

Fred showed up on time, showed me what was wrong with my dryer and took about 20 mins to thoroughly vacuum the lint out of all the crevices. Excellent customer service. Would call him again without question.

Fred took my call and was quick to offer a diagnostic on our dishwasher at our convenience. He is extremely friendly, and willing to work around your schedule. Fred helped us over two weekends! Weekend one was our washing machine which he diagnosed and repaired. Weekend two was our refrigerator that had stopped working. He diagnosed the issue and helped us resolve the problem. He was very kind and excellent at communicating expectations, issues, and resolutions.
