Hired Mike a year ago to a complete bathroom gut and remodel. He did a good job but it was far from cheap.
Followed up a year later to ask about another job at the same house (my mother's) that was significantly smaller (a simple fence replacement). Took him four months to reply, said he would send a quote and it never happened.
He is a good contractor, not a cheap one, probably very busy but also in it for the big jobs.

When we finally decided to do our kitchen renovation we hired Kallie and Mike with The Yellow Chair to walk us through the design phase and then the actual remodel phase. We absolutely LOVED working with Kallie, Mike and the entire Yellow Chair team. Mike and Kallie came up with the perfect re-design of our space and Kallie lead us through all the decisions of design. I remember in our process that Kallie would say: "I know this will be great, but we want this to be a home-run!" I can't say enough wonderful things about Mike and Kallie - we are new to renovating and they were patient with us and extremely helpful as we navigated the design and decision making process. Kallie has a fabulous eye for design and really helped us figure out what we liked and why. I would not consider doing any kind of design without consulting her in the future! And Mike and his crew were amazing - their work was impeccable, and they had fabulous attention to detail. Shane, their foreman, was a wonderful partner day to day, and we were so happy with the work he and the crew did.

Hiring a General Contractor for home renovation work is immensely challenging. You need one contractor that is available, affordable and effective. In addition, home improvements are never cheap and there a million ways to complete a project with one a couple truly correct ones.
After much research, many referrals and several quotes, I landed on Yellow Chair and it ended up being the right choice.

We are in the process of getting a house built in Tennessee. Our general contractor has a designer that is meant to help with choosing the finishes in the house. Unfortunately, we were given no guidance and were left floundering. Needless to say, mistakes were made in the initial design process! I decided to put in a change order and I contacted The Yellow Chair to help me make the right choices the second time around. Kallie has such an amazing eye for design! She took the time to go over my floorplan and envision what would be both beautiful and practical for my family. I couldn't be happier

Kallie and Mike are a great team and so easy to work with. They care about their clients and really listen to their needs/wants. We had them install new windows in our old house; they not only worked straight through a storm, but they did beautiful work, they did whatever was necessary to get the job done well and still have our house together and livable throughout the entire process. Their team was always respectful of our property and they cleaned up all the "mess" from remodeling. I highly recommend The Yellow Chair for any construction project you have in the future!!

I had a fence repair done by Mike and his team. (He fit it in between his bigger jobs.) Waited a few weeks but the timing was right for both of us. The work was done better than I expected and much neater than expected. No mess to clean up after they were done. I highly recommend Mike and his team at The Yellow Chair!
