I contacted S&L to look at an older air conditioner that was indicating low coolant. Other service providers refused to look at it because it was either too old or they just didn't want to get into anything that might actually require repairs.
When S&L came out they were very informative and clear about the process throughout the work. They were upfront about what might be wrong and how they were going to diagnose the problems. In the end, the cost was very reasonable and we are back to having our long lasting heating and cooling unit working again.
I will call S&L first for any future repairs

In a rental property, our electric water heater broke (on Aug 10th) and needed to be replaced. I asked S&L for an estimate and they responded with an appointment for Sept 30. Im not sure what the quality of their work is or how competitively priced they are, and maybe they are just swamped now, but for a water heater replacement, this is clearly not acceptable.

My furnace stopped working during the most chilly days. I called S&L wishing to have it replaced with a new one asap. Kendra gave me the estimate the same day I called. I confirmed the estimate at the night and the furnace was replaced the next day in the morning. And the inspection was arranged right after the installation. Everything is done within 3 days. Very efficient and by the way, what satisfied me most is S&L give the estimate by separating the cost of labor and the furnace unit. Transparent and honest.

We got 4 bids for a ductless heat pump. S & L were the only ones that said they would match a competitors lower bid. They also performed all the work, - including electrical. Other bids had to subcontract for electrical. From the point Steve arrived at our house, to the end of the install by Devin and Kevin, it was totally professional and efficient. I would recommend this company for anyone! In addition, the heat pump is so quiet and keeps our home at an even temperature. We are so glad we went this route. Thanks S & L!!

My spouse and I wanted to replace our old electric in-wall heaters with a two-zone mini split heat pump system. We also wanted air handler options that were recessed or ducted because of our low ceilings… And we knew those were lofty dreams to achieve in an older house not designed for ducting.
Of the companies I got estimates from, S&L took the most time to ask questions, listen to us, and give suggestions that actually met our needs. They were also really patient with the many questions my spouse and I had.
During installation, they arrived on time

I contacted S and L to investigate our old broken down furnace. The office staff quickly found a date/time to get a technician out to my home and once onsite, after a thorough health check, clearly outlined what issues were in play and what my options are to fix along with the associated costs of each (repair vs replace). They provided clear and concise recommendations with no pressure applied which I found to really help us decide what’s the best route to go for our little family. They rezoned my ducts so that the big temperature difference between the upstairs and downstairs was mostly eliminated. There was an unavoidable malfunction a few months later and they quickly was able to remedy it without charge. Very professional people which is very refreshing in an industry filled with shady characters and businesses. Would never go to anyone else now for my AC/heating needs.

I really appreciate this company. They are honest and customer-service oriented. My heat exchanger on my furnace needed replacement and another company quoted me a huge amount of money to make it happen and did not even ask if it was under warranty.
When I called and talked to S & L, they ordered the heat exchanger for me after getting all the warranty information. When it was shipped, they came out and replaced it and their fee was a third of what the other company quoted me.

Our heat pump broke in our office and it was 80 degrees and miserable in the building. We called S&L and Steve and Devon fixed us up faster and more affordably than the other companies we got quotes from. I hired his company for my new construction projects. They started the job fine but soon after several of my houses were built, I realized they started to charged me in full when they haven't completed their trim work. Regardless, I paid them in full since they already did several houses for me and I thought I could trust them. BIG mistake! Their work became subpar. They billed me for work order changes but never discussed with me or my GC beforehand that it would cost more. He just billed me for the work we never approved. I even suggested they plumb the piping per plans and not charge

You ever have an experience, where the workmanship and what you buy is so good that you want to write a glowing review. That's me. The owner of the house. I love the Goodman gas furnace and air‐conditioning system installed by S&L. With a heating gas fireplace. S&L's eye for detail is outstanding. Even positioning the furnace a inch to the left or inch to the right. They explained and asked me and made it perfect. I also looked at and learned about a ductless system. But for my house the Goodman gas furnace is the best. I took bids and hired contractors for each phase of building

Steve came out at 8:00 pm to fix our broken furnace. He is honest and won't tell you repairs are needed when they aren't. He'll give you options. S&L also installed an a-c for us -- great price, efficient service, friendly technicians and it works great. The scheduler, Leilani, was friendly and flexible when we needed to reschedule. A+++.
