Rasmussen Excavation was formed in 1973 by the late Donald and Rosalyn Rasmussen of Georgetown, NY. They began their business with a few necessary basics - a solid farm-boy work ethic, fair and honest business practices, a love for moving dirt and for CAT equipment! With his son David by his side, Don began working for farmers, the Soil Conservation Service, and homeowners with their first machine - a 1956 CAT D6 bulldozer.
For 40 years Rasmussen Excavation has combined an ironclad commitment to quality performance and integrity to become a leader in Central New York's construction industry. We proudly credit this accomplishment to a strong commitment to our customers and employees, along with an old-fashioned set of values.
Rasmussen Excavation has proudly completed a diverse range of projects from small construction jobs to large residential and commercial development projects. The Rasmussen Companies, over the last 27 years, have served as our leading site development contractor and equipment rental supplier for the commercial and residential development of some six hundred acres of land in Central New York.
