We are a small landscaping company that is focused on providing nothing but the best for our customers. We believe you deserve the weekend off! We offer lawn care, lawn mowing, mulching, thatching your grass, leaf removal, Fall cleanup, Spring cleanup, and snow removal. Based in Ballston Lake, NY and serving the Ballston Lake, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Albany, Troy, and Schenectady areas with all their landscaping needs.
Our weekly/bi-weekly lawn maintenance service includes mowing the entire lawn, string trimming around all trees, mailboxes, etc. We edge along all blacktop/patio areas and blow off all grass clippings. We use mulching blades on our mowers as it is better for the lawn rather than bagging the grass. Our shrub trimming service includes properly trimming any shrubs, decorative grass, hedges and ornamental trees.
Fall in Upstate New York consists of beautiful and colorful fall foliage, crisp air, hoodies, pumpkin spice everything, football, and apple picking. The entire season is beautiful and enjoyable until you arrive home and see thousands of leaves on your well-manicured lawn, dead branches falling, and dead flowers on your garden beds.
Spring in Upstate New York consists of fresh budding leave, flowers sprouting, warmth in the air returning, getting your patios ready for the year. The entire season is gorgeous and enjoyable besides the fact that before you can start enjoying your lawn, which you can now finally see after the snow has melted, you have your entire spring cleaning to do.
Our shrub trimming service includes properly trimming any shrubs, decorative grass, hedges and ornamental trees. Clean-cut shrubs not only look great but also live longer and bud stronger flowers! If anything about our service on your property disappoints you, we will immediately fix the issue at our expense, without argument, complaint or excuse.

I used this company last winter for snow removal at my rental property. Communication was poor. I decided to give them another chance this winter, and contacted them in July to set up snow removal for the upcoming winter. On 8/5 they returned my calls, saying the owner would send me a contract renewal, and once I approve that I would be all set. I never received anything. Then this past weekend (10/15) I received a mass market email from them, asking for referrals for snow removal. I asked again if I could get my 2021-2022 snow removal contract set up, and it was only then.. more than 3 months

For three weeks this company dragged us around. Told us that we were scheduled for the day and no showed. My husband and I gave them the benefit of doubt on so many occasions. The customer service was terrible and we still have yet to get a return phone call from the owner. They promised and NEVER delivered. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would highly recommend an alternative lawn company.

James' Lawn Services did a great job on my landscape this spring and snow clearing this past winter. Their crew did a fantastic job recently cleaning up my landscape and made my property look real sharp. They are very friendly, responsive and did the job at a good price. I also like their way of keeping me in the loop by email for planned service were I can opt-in/out of it. I highly recommend James' Lawn services.

Very professional, communicates well, takes feedback well. Continually looking to improve service quality. They service our snow plowing needs and they give us fair service conditions; opting in and out based on accumulation and really try to do a good job. Most contractors won’t even call you back, others have bad attitudes. Neither was the case here.

What a wonderful business! Incredibly responsive, reliable and fair. Billing is easy and I am notified when they service my lawn automatically through email! Not that I have had to contactthem with any questions or concerns because everything has been great, but prior to them getting my business they took the time to answer my questions and even come out to give a thorough estimate. Me with my small lawn was treated like a very important customer. I'm hearing that's how they treat all their customers! I highly recommend James' Lawn Services!

James Lawn provided best value for money service in renewing the landscape around my property (replaced old fabric and stone with new improved quality material, installed a new fireplace, edging, mulching and planted decorative plants). Labor and material cost quoted were reasonable and mostly better than other service providers. James was responsive and communicative and his team were always on time, professional and friendly. Would recommend them highly !

I've used JLS for lawn care as well as snow removal. James has always made sure the job gets done right the first time. Being away for the Fall - Winter, that's peace of mind you can't buy. Plus, his crews would post pictures of the job done.

I have too many trees in my yard and all around the neighborhood. It doesn't matter how hard I try I can never keep up with all the leaf cleanup in the fall, and then somehow I still have leaves in the Spring. I had James and his crew take care of all the leaf pick up for me and couldn't be happier. It's nice to be able to see the grass again.
