Our arborists are balancing plant health, safety and artistry when pruning and shaping your plants from specimen shrubs or prized lace leaf maples to the largest shade and evergreen trees. We prune to emphasize a tree's natural shape. If the tree has structural problems, we can cable it to increase its safety.

In the Willamette Valley, our most common deciduous native tree is the bigleaf maple. It gets its name from the size of its leaves. In Latin, the species name Acer macrophyllum means big leaf: macro meaning large and phyllum meaning leaf. The bigleaf maple has the largest leaf of any maple in the world, measuring 6-12 inches across and having five lobes, resembling a human hand.
Terrill Collier accepts the official Eco-Biz certification from Debra Taevs, Oregon Director of the Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center (PPRC). Collier is the first arborist to attain Eco-Biz certification under this program. As part of its continuing effort to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship, Collier Arbor Care has attained the Eco-Biz certification for Landscape Services.

Everything went so well with Bartlett, and we had a great experience. The inspection set up was easy and we were able to discuss what was reasonable to ask to do and what wasn't. The crew was amazing and so easy to work with - very communicative and skilled. We're on a hillside with big trees, and the terrain can be challenging. We had a half day job but on big trees: trimming of an extremely tall big leaf maple that was overhanging the house/touching the roof, trimming of another maple for aesthetic reasons, and carving a viewing window safely out of a cedar. The crew checked in on how we felt

We used Bartlett’s in 2017 and had a great experience. They were professional, responsive, and did a great job. In spring of 2020, we contacted them to trim some trees and take one out. Someone came out and we had a great discussion, and he said someone would call us in the fall. No one did. By the time we got someone on the phone, they couldn’t come until New Year’s Eve.
When they did come out, they did the tree trim but took out the wrong tree- the one they took was an established rhododendron, instead of the scrub tree that clearly needed to go. They couldn’t do the stump removal because

Bartlett removed my tree in February 2021 and they did a good job taking the tree down and the debris away. However they came back four months later this past May to remove the stump. No call to tell me they were coming, no explanation of what was going to be done, and no Communication of how much would be left behind or if I wanted to have it taken away. I drove up to a 5 foot long 2 feet high debris of mulch on my planter strip next to a city street!
I was shocked! Assuming Taking away this debris would be part of the service involved along with the tree removal. It is only logical to expect

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
They were scheduled to remove a tree and do some major trimming of another tree and they disappeared in the middle of the job. I paid $3,500 and they won't return emails or calls. I know they are busy because of a recent ice storm but that's no reason to neglect a paying customer.

Nice enough folks. The guy who came out to give us an estimate said he'd email us within 24 hours, but it took five days and a few calls from me to get the estimate. Not great.

Very fast and efficient. Very likable crew and representatives. I seriously recommend these guys. Had a very small area to work in on a very large tree. No damage at all and did the work on the hottest day of the year with no complaint.

Had 3 trees with different problems. The sick cedar in front yard was removed, stump so thoroughly ground out that a new tree can be planted there. Huge old maple in back threatened neighbor's house. Pruned for safety and done without cabling. 3rd tree even trickier-an old red plum which anyone would say is a candidate for removal but it's a habitat for birds. My arborist understood and thinned it out so it can die a little slower. He left plenty of stubs and cavities for habitat and the birds and I could not be happier.
As a professional gardener myself, I was very concerned on all counts. These
