Advanced Appliance Service has been in business for over 32 years. We are a locally owned and operated, employing 30 factory-trained technicians and an office staff of 11 to assist you with your appliance repair needs. What started as a single technician and a mother on maternity leave, transformed into two technicians and a full-time office receptionist, which gradually matured to the established team that represent the company today.
Our technician (Michael) was great! He fixed our Frigidaire dishwasher within 20-30 minutes. Then he even took the time to explain to me the features of my new dishwasher and how it worked. Which I really appreciated because since it is a new dishwasher, I did not know much about it. Michael was very professional and did an amazing job!
Just had my Maytag washer fixed by them and they were great! Very respectful, on time and made sure my appliance was 100% working to my liking before he left! Blake was my repair man and he did an awesome job! This is the second time (in 5 years for two different products) that I have used Advanced Appliance Service and satisfied both times.

Advanced Appliance Service is devoted to providing reliable and professional service to its customers at a fair market value. As a result, we do charge a service fee or "Trip Charge" to dispatch our technicians to the customer's home in order to evaluate the malfunctioning appliance and generate an estimate for repair.
Advanced Appliance Service charges our customers labor per job instead of a flat, hourly rate. To be fair, we charge labor based on the particular repair necessary and the skill set required to make that repair. Your technician will always give you an estimate on labor before making any repairs to your unit.
30 Day Trip Charge Warranty - Advanced Appliance Service takes pride in the work and ability of all of our technicians and to demonstrate this pride we offer to all our customers a 30-day Trip Charge Warranty. This warranty is for any repair services performed by Advanced Appliance Service on any and all appliances not covered by a manufacturer warranty or extended service warranty.

The technician, Douglas, did a great job. He was knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions regarding our dishwasher. We were pleased with his work. We also were happy that Douglas arrived on time, followed COVID protocols and was polite. We are happy with the service received from Advanced Appliance Service.

On 10/31/21 my icemaker stopped working, so I called you. Your tech jeririgged a heater and charged me $128. Then on Thanksgiving with invited guests - it quit working again. Your tech decided to order a replacement heater which was installed the next week. NOW - TODAY 12/8/21 it's stopped making ice YET AGAIN.
Another update - 12/13, it stopped AGAIN. Your tech was scheduled to be here today 12/15, but decided to contact Whirlpool for assistance. They suggested a part that's not in stock (of course) - so now I have to wait to see when he will

This company is responsible for the warranty on my $2200 new refrigerator that has not worked since the day it arrived on September 13. I schedule service, it takes 10 days to come out, then a part is ordered and that takes 90 days...or more! I have no refrigeration here at Thanksgiving and Christmas. They have no clue what they are doing and according to whirlpool as long as there is an order for a part I cannot call another service co authorized by Whirlpool. RUN from these people!

Daniel was knowledgeable and helpful in diagnosing a joint issue I was having with my refrigerator. He went over the various options I had to resolve my issues, noting the prices and helping me weigh the pros and cons to the repair job options. Advanced Appliance Service is by far the WORST service company I have ever used for an appliance repair. After 4 weeks, 5 home visits, 1 cancelled appointment (an hour into my scheduled time frame), 2 incorrect parts ordered...my wash machine still does not turn on.
This type of repair is specifically what the company does and they clearly do not do it well.

Six months out of warranty my IKEA microwave stopped working. Yepper, that's the way life works. I called the Whirlpool service 800 number, and they handled the rest. Easy.
Nick was the tech assigned to me and I was very pleased. He arrived on time, followed Covid-19 protocols without hesitation, assessed the problem and told me what to expect including the $88 service call, which is reasonable. Parts had to be ordered and within a few days they called to schedule my final repair.
The bonus was once the built-in unit was removed; Nick discovered that a part had broken on the start button

I would like to thank several people at Advance Appliance Service in Gastonia. Beginning with Deborah who took the call and scheduled the repair. Her attention to details is the reason we chose Advance. Next is Zach, the repair manager. He took immediate action and gathered up the parts from his various repair vehicles to make the repair within days! Lastly John the repair technician. The technician was the rudest person I ever met. It was like he did not even want to be in his job. His first comment to me, before he even said anything about the needed repair, was "I see you say you have warranty, but I get $88 for coming out. I don't do warranty." He would not answer any questions about the proposed repair. He just kept saying "I don't do warranty". Well then why was he sent out by the manufacturer? Why was he even there? At one point I just wrote him the $88 check to get him out of my house he was so rude. Turns out the repair was covered

Kitchen Aid 5mo old refrigerator- leaking water from ice maker. Kitchen aid sent this company to repair. He walked in With no tools & told us we weren't following the manufacturer recommendations & should be emptying the ice bin every week.
Told him it was leaking from the ice maker & he said ice must be caught in the chute & it was only condensation.

Brad just left our house fixing our refrigerator/freezer
He showed up on time and was very professional and personable. Told us some horror stories about some jobs he's worked on.
He spent some time diagnosing the problem and then came up with a solution. We had a company also diagnose the problem but all they did Was take our service call money.
We are extremely satisfied with the service and would consider no one else to do any appliance repairs in our home

I am buying a Whirlpool dryer, and last week it started making a very loud noise! Well, I was upset to say the least. So, I called the store that I purchased the washer/dryer from and reported this. A repairman was contacted and scheduled to come out. Sidney, the technician from Advanced Appliance Service, called me well ahead of the appointment time frame and I was able to get home and back to work within one hour! He found the problem right away, fixed it, and double-checked to be sure the dryer was OK. I was well pleased with the prompt, courteous service I received, from the appointment

This past weekend, my Whirlpool fridge wasn't cooling satisfactorily in the refrigerator section. I keep a refrigerator thermometer in both the fridge and freezer sections and the temperature was on the border or a little over the safe zone in the fridge. Our technician, Sidney, was scheduled to arrive between 12-5pm and he called when he was on his way. Courteous, professional, and a teacher at heart, he explained how the fridge worked and assured me that it was working fine. This is the 2nd time I have called for service - 2 different appliances and 2 different problems. They are polite, quick to respond and even came on Saturday! Technician got right to work and found the problem quickly. He even has given me advise on how to fix a non warranty problem by myself...
Unfortunately, they do not work on LG as I have an older washing machine and it is starting to give me trouble but I am very happy with their service and hopefully I will not have a need for service any time soon but if I do, I will call them

Sevice tech called ahead and was able to service us earlier than expected. A good start. His diagnosis found a faulty electric drain pump on our 3 year old dishwasher. The repair was completed without incident. Our tech was polite and took care while working. Just wish I didn't have to spend more than$250. Gave 4 stars only because of total cost.

I was having lots of trouble with my washer not balancing loads. It was at the point that I couldn't wash more than a couple of shirts without the thing stopping every few minutes. The technician from Advanced "Zach" new exactly what to do! He had it fixed in no time and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Highly recommended!

My husband and I were up in SC because we were selling our Townhouse. We had to call Advanced for our dishwasher and get a quote to repair. They confirmed what I had thought the problem was. Since we are selling we decided not to repair but give the buyers a credit in case they would prefer to get a new one as this one was 10 years old.
I had ordered a new knob for my stove and I said it didn't work and I sent it back and had another one on order. He said it likely would have worked and showed me the little piece to take off so it would fit. Really appreciated his help.

Our refrigerator wasn't working properly and our extended service policy sent us to them. Since it was through an insurance company, we didn't expect the great service that we got. They came out promptly and the service tech knew exactly what caused the problem, took the time to explain it to me and then fixed it quickly.

I have used these guys for years! They have always been great wether I brought I the appliance or they came to my house
I have called to get advice and the secretary has one of the service men call me back when they have time.
They have fixed a gas stove,dishwasher, clothes dryer,washing machine and ice dispenser on my frig. Each time they have been prompt, professional and reasonably priced.
They even came one time and said not to waste my money on a repair and to replace the appliance. So they were willing to give up the job to be helpful
