Worcester County Library, Berlin, MD Currently in the design development phase, we have worked with the library staff and trustees to pioneer a new process in this county with the intention of creating a more community responsive, high performing and high quality building. Cobb Hill Cohousing, Hartland, VT Planned and designed this eco community for 23 families.
It's many farm and micro business ventures are well developed. The farm and gardens are spectacular. Several homes are currently on the market. Snow Creek Condominiums, Warren, VT Just completed major exterior renovations and deep green energy improvements to a 115 unit condominium complex.

THE DESIGN GROUP is a multi-disciplinary planning and design office as a long standing association of JSD, Inc. and EDGCOMB DESIGN, Inc. Based out of a converted farmhouse in the Green Mountains of Vermont, we are continually reminded of the importance that the land and climate play in our lives. Since 1983, The Design Group has completed a wide range of commercial, institutional, planning and residential projects.
Master of Architecture MIT 1984, AIA Certificate of Merit. BA Architecture Washington State University, Seattle, WA 1978. Architectural Registration - Vermont, New York, Wyoming and Maryland. Teaching Experience - MIT (Graduate TA), Yestermorrow School, since 1983. Professional Affiliations - American Institute of Architects, US Green Building Council, Vermont Green Building Network.
Principals of The Design Group have worked since 1980 on hundreds of projects of a wide variety. We have developed multiple projects for many commercial clients, have served numerous municipal and institutional clients, and have worked with regional and national non profits. We have won awards for design, green building, energy efficiency, historical and public service.
