I moved to Bloomington 50 years ago. As a military child I have lived in Texas, Japan, Florida, and Indiana. My experience with moving as a child has given me a passion to help relocate people for a living. I got involved in the moving industry trying to supplement my income for my family. I fell in love with the trade and started working full time for another company in Bloomington.

This is our specialty. We love moving homes, and we take pride in creating a seamless move for our customers. We do this by answering all questions and passing along pertinent information to our crew. Each move is unique, and we treat it that way. Time starts from the shop and ends when we get done if the job is local in Bloomington city limits.
IU students are also a part of who we are. In fact, one of our owners is a graduate of IU. We know the stress that students have in their schedules. We are ready to tackle each dorm and relieve that stress so students can study and concentrate on school. We love that you want to drive your own moving truck from point A to point B because we can still help you load or unload. You drive and we load and unload. It is another service we offer in the relocation process to save you money. A Better Way has a 1.5-hour minimum fee. We are looking to assist our customers with another affordable service.

The moving team showed up right on time. They were fast, professional, and helpful. We had one large wardrobe that had to go upstairs. They tried everything possible! They even wrapped the stairway in moving blankets to protect it while they struggled with the wardrobe. We were so impressed with their dedication and desire to help. Our whole family has used A Better Way Moving and we always recommend them to those new to town.

After another moving company was a no call no show to move my daughter from one college apartment to another, this company showed up within the hour of my frantic phone call and got her moved. They have no idea how much this is appreciated from a mother who was 4 hours away and couldn't help her child right away. A Better Way made everything about our move easier. Since it was a relatively short distance move, we were able to tailor it to our needs. They were extremely flexible with us and provided us with packing materials and friendly advice. They were excellent on moving day. The three young guys who moved in our furniture were friendly and polite and went the extra mile to make sure they were putting things where we wanted them. The cost was reasonable and way less than I expected. I highly recommend!

This is my third experience with A Better Way over the years. Randy and his team are communicative and respond quickly to questions and estimate requests leading up to moving day. His crews have always been polite, prompt, quick and careful with belongings. I would recommend them 100 times over for your next move.
