Since 1980, South's Finest LLC, has produced Architectural Components. Historically accurate reproductions or contemporary components are individually handcrafted with precision by craftsmen. We work closely with Historical Societies, architects, builders, designers and homeowners on civic or retail projects, malls, resorts, condos, courthouses, modest cottages, or mansions.

We never overlook the small details or trim finish moldings that ultimately make a project a success. When we sell to discerning clients, they know they have bought the best, delivered fast and at a fair price. Preserving historic buildings has been our reward, while knowing that our contemporary products will still be intact on "historical" buildings of the future.

South's Finest was created to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology and advanced composite materials in order to provide the architectural and construction industries with reproductions of classical architectural ornamentation and custom building components.

Recently, South's Finest played an important part in the Restoration of the 124-year-old Davis Hall Administration Building at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Hailstones, some the size of baseballs, heavily damaged the building's slate roof and many of it's architectural components. South's Finest provided over 700 pieces of fiberglass, including 4 Radius Cornices, 2 Straight Cornice, the turret finials, and the front peak finials.
South's Finest was involved in the design and fabrication of several components applied to the restoration of the Colquitt County Courthouse in Moultrie, Georgia.

Working closely with the project architects and referring to archival photographs from the County Historical Society, South's Finest was able to create over 80 custom pediments that captured the historic look of the original courthouse in modern materials and adapted to today's structure.South's Finest also provided the custom balustrade system on the parapet and clock tower.
The Converse Dalton-Ferrell home is the epitome of elegant southern homes. Although it escaped the ruinous urban renewal projects of the mid-20th century, it did pay a price. Most of the surrounding grounds were sacrificed to commercial buildings and parking lots. This makes what survived more precious.
Since 1874 this building has been one of the most important commercial sites in the city of Durham N C. For many years it was the center of commerce for the tobacco industry in the region until it fell into disrepair after the Great Depression of the Thirties. The elaborate classical cornice was completely removed, and the only remaining evidence was a painted profile on the brick wall of the adjacent building.
