Gunite swimming pools are different from poured concrete pools that require wooden framework. Even thought there is diference in technology, some people still call them concrete pools in Birmingham, Alabama. A gunite pool starts with a rebar skeleton over which gunite, a concrete mixture, is sprayed.
A fiberglass pool is made from a pre-formed fiberglass shell which is dropped into a prepared hole. There are many different sizes and shapes with the fiberglass pools but it is not the choice if you want to create your own design shape. Fiberglass pools have many plusses though. They are quicker and easier to install.
A vinyl liner pool is constructed of either steel or polymer wall panels, over which a quality vinyl liner is installed. Depending on the pattern, liners come in 20 mil and 27 mil thickness. We use 27mil for its strength and durability whenever possible. A vinyl liner pool is economical. Although vinyl pools offer many different sizes, there are not a lot of different shapes.

I am writing this review in hopes that no one else will get scammed from these guys. I called for hot tub repair service and the guy came out (at a rate of $195/hr) and diagnosed the problem letting me know that I'd have to pay this $195 now then they would send me a quote with the repair estimate. The next day I get a quote for another $715 in repairs, bringing my total up over $900. Thinking this sounded absurdly expensive I called another company who came out and fixed my hot tub in about 45 minutes total for only $165. The problem ended up being a $2 o-ring that had gone bad. I purchased a Cal Spa from Elite Pool & Spa, My sales lady Ronni was very courteous, I’d give it a 5 star rating but I ended up purchasing a Spa that was missing some features that were supposed to be standard like an Ozonator, corner beam lights, etc.
I was told I was purchasing an Escape X-Series ec-767LX but it ended up being the Escape model ec-767L, still a great Spa but not what I thought I was purchasing. Also the cabinet was slightly damaged during installation but they’re supposed replace the damaged sections. Overall, I’d buy from Elite again, Patrick the sales manager upgraded

Elite Pool Services was one of three local pool installation companies that we had come to our home to give quotes for installing a gunite pool. We choose Elite because Brad was spent time breaking down costs, and working with us to adjust our pool idea to fit within our budget. He and his team were always on time, conscientious and did a fantastic job from our HOA application all the way to completion. He was also willing to answer questions and advise us of things once the pool was complete and we were managing the water on our own. We would use them again without hesitation.

I had a water heater pump placed. They work led and planned to place it in the best place. They were the first company I didn’t have to chase after placing the order. They actually started the work 2 weeks before it was promised. John is ridiculously nice and did an amazing job! Definitely would recommend

Excellent service. We are so happy to be working with Elite Pool Services. Very great attention details and even better communication aspect. I don’t have to be on site to know that the pool has been cleaned because I get a report and pictures for every visit! Highly reccomend.

Perhaps they are good at their work. We will never know. We called in the fall and never received a call back. We closed our pool and called again last week. We were told we would be called back. Still no call. They must be doing well since they aren't interested in someone trying to give them money. But who knows.

I waited for over 4 months and made numerous follow-up phone calls simply to try to get an estimate from another pool company with whom I already had a service contract. Elite Pool Services visited my home the same day I called, provided an estimate within 24 hours, and had essentially completed the work within a week. Everyone involved was knowledgeable, responsive, and courteous. They are now my go-to business for any pool-related issues.

I have used Elite Pool service for the past 2 summers. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. They have great customer service - all are very polite and experienced. They do a great job keeping our pool looking great all summer. They have also done some additional work on our pool and their billing is very reasonable...I recommend them highly!!!

Needed a new swimming pool variable speed pump and salt system installed. Elite Pool Services did install one of the most quality salt system from Pool Pilot and one of the most energy saving pool pump from Jandy - 2hp with App. The coolest thing is that I can manage my pool pump from my smart phone. It also shows me how much power the pool pump uses in current time and rpm. Everything works perfect, I would recommend Elite Pool Services to anyone.

I would not wants to use them ever again. these people are ridiculous they don't give you quote for their works yet they said it take 2.5 hrs to clean the pool @ 90 per hr? really....they said my pump needs replacement cost over 2500 but we bought a brand new pump on ebay for 300 so when we told them no they don't needs them to replace our pump, they said they can beat competitor price (THIS is a JOKE!!! Charge customer over thousand in mark up and will give you a 50 $ discount) Please do your home work before using them. WHEN they recommend you needs to replace something DO YOUR HOME
