Brian helped us remove a small closet and built in shelving. The project was more complicated than originally expected because of there was old wall texture hidden behind what he removed that had to be smoothed out to match the other walls. Brian was able to accomplish this and still stay on schedule. I would definitely call Brian again for any future demo/drywall projects. His communication was great throughout the project and very reliable. Thanks Brian!

Brian was super helpful & knowledgable about all the jobs I asked him to do (one plumbing, two lighting, and one wall issue). He was prompt, personable, and (most importantly) did everything perfectly & neatly. I will definitely call him again next time I need help fixing or installing something.

Brian is great. We had several projects that needed to be done around the house. Light fixtures installed, fixing a hole in our master bathroom wall and our landscape lighting stop working. I was very happy that Brian was aware of his time that would have cost me more. He is also very good a troubleshooting he took the time to do his research to find the best possible solutions.

I had a weird fireplace extension in my new house (see in the pictures), and I wanted it gone. Brian helped me all the way from planning to getting it done. He was always on time, did a perfect job, and cleaned up really clean after that. The finished remodel looks flawless. His estimate was close enough, and he worked really efficiently. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing.

Before that he also built me a desk, and did some minor projects around the house. I really love working with Brian, and would recommend him to friends and colleagues.

Hired to patch a large hole in my ceiling from a plumbing leak. My request was "make it look like it isn't patched." He did the job flawlessly, texture and all. It did cost more than estimated, as apparently my ceiling isn't square or level...but I am completely happy with the work that was done.

We have used Brian's construction and dry wall services twice and have been more than pleased with the results. A contractor that does what he says, shows creativity in his work and has us looking for his next project. If you need a professional general contractor, we would recommend his services without reservation or hesitation.

Brian gave a quote quickly, arrived on time, worked carefully and efficiently. I asked him to take down old closet shelving, patch up and paint - it was done very well. I also asked to hang a chandelier - the location was poorly accessible, but Brian managed to get to it, and was patient as I was making my mind on the exact length of the fixture. After he finished the work, I asked for his perspective on other potential home improvement projects. It was very helpful to learn from him. Overall great experience.

Brian completed several improvement projects on my home in Seattle. Brian was punctual, professional, and offered a fair price on a tough job of updating a bathroom ceiling fan vent in a cramped attic without much room to maneuver. The work was high quality and will keep my attic free of mold for years to come. I would recommend Brian's work to anyone in need of home repairs.

Brian is great! He has great problem-solving skills. He figured out a way to install my new front door that was 1/2 an inch too wide and 1/4 inch too tall without any damage to the door or the surroundings. He didn't charge me for the trips to the hardware store where he bought a couple of threshold options for me to choose from. He easily assembled my new fire pit and patio furniture. He also fixed my piano bench very quickly. He also gave me free advise on how I can fix my bathroom mold problem. Brian is professional, hard-working, a pleasure to work with and easy to communicate with

Prompt, courteous, and did a tricky job of putting up my sun shades!

This summer I'll be a lot cooler and more comfortable in my apartment.

I would recommend Rain City to other yelpers.

The cost was competitive with other folks on yelp.

Also -- was nice to my dog!

A rack in my closet fell down and I called Rain City Home Northwest to fix it and repair damaged dry wall. Some places were requiring a 2 hour minimum, but Brian estimated it would be an hour job. He arrived early the day of and got the repair done quickly and efficiently. The closet shelf was sturdier than it had been before. Also, when I mentioned I was getting the place ready for another tenant, he offered me practical advice about how to get scuff marks off of the walls and other easy fixes I could do myself.
I would definitely use Brian again if I needed handiwork done.

I am so glad I found Rain City Home! I've used them twice now for 5 different projects - from an oven igniter replacement to external staircase rebuilding. Brian is incredibly responsive, resourceful, and honest in his assessments. He's transparent in labor/parts cost estimates and very fairly priced. On top of all that he's just a really nice and personable guy who I trust. I highly recommend him and Rain City Home.
