When it came time to prep our house for sale, there was little doubt that we would go to Tom Gorman and his team at The Carpet Outlet. His whole team, from Rene and Tina in the office, to Oscar and Jose in the field - and of course Tom himself, were professional from start to finish. The Carpet Outlet originally carpeted our home and cottage 24 years ago and their products have stood the test of time as we raised our family of nine children. Had a fantastic experience with Tom and his team at the Carpet Outlet in Gilroy. Was looking to replace carpet in the kids bedroom , showed an example of the existing flooring and they came up with the perfect carpet color. They were able to get the carpet the next morning and scheduled the installation the same day. The install team did a fantastic job as well. Our whole experience at this place was awesome! The staff was friendly and helpful while I was picking out my flooring. On the day of the installation the wrong carpet was delivered. I headed into the store and they had the problem fixed and my new carpet was installed just two days later. The installers were friendly and professional and did a great job with my whole house.

So why three stars? I got a lot of attitude from some of their sales team leading up to the installation. Every time I talked to one of the ladies on the phone or emailed, they seemed annoyed by me and were extremely rude. I don't feel like my business was appreciated. They acted like they were doing me a favor and like I kept bothering them. I highly doubt people are banging down their doors for carpet installations in the south bay so they really

The Carpet Outlet is wonderful! Everyone is really helpful and willing to go the extra mile. I recently had tile and old laminate removed and halted away by Francisco and Elias. They did an amazing, very neat and fast job. They kept the dust down as much as possible and easily moved all my furniture carefully, which I really appreciated. Hipolito iwas the most skilled craftsman I have ever seen during installation. I had high-quality (12 mm) laminate installed in my downstairs and it looks fabulous! We were a few days away from carpet installation with another company and they completely messed up our order. I called the Carpet Outlet and they dropped everything to help me and get everything settled that same day. Our carpet was starting to come apart where the carpet meets the linoleum in the kitchen (high traffic) so I called and spoke to Rene and about how we can fix it. I filed a claim which was denied but they still came out to fix the part of the carpet that was coming apart for free. And even though its a slightly different color the fact that they worked with us is great. Next time if I order carpet I need to order extra just in case of things like this. The color is only on one roll and each color roll is slightly different. I would go back to carpet outlet.

I am in the process of upgrading my dads house in Soledad and these guys came out there and gave me a quote. I didn't have to pay for a quote like other places. There prices were not competitive. They were the cheapest. How much cheap $1000 cheaper than the other places. As soon as they install the carpet and linoleum, I will update this with the quality of their work!
Also if using a credit card, they charge 3% of whatever the price is for the carpet. That is the only con that I've found so far.

We had wonderful experience with them starting from the selection of carpet to installation. They helped to get the the installation very quickly as we had guests coming. The installers Eduardo and Edgar worked all day to remove the tough old hardwood floor and install the new carpet. They worked without a break and skipped lunch also to do the job in one day!!!. Everyone was very pleasant, polite and did their job with a smile. We will sure use them again for all our flooring needs.

I can not say enough great things about this company and their hardwood floor installer Roger!!!! Roger is meticulous, trustworthy, conscientious and detailed. I'm finally writing this review after about 2 months of getting my carpet installed because I wanted to write a review after the carpet has been in place. The carpet we got is extremely nice and durable. I did A LOT of research prior to selecting a carpet and distributor. Carpet outlet was more than helpful on getting the specs I requested for the carpet I wanted. After ordering the carpet, it only took about 1 week for delivery and installation. I had a great experience. They installed my carpet about 4 or 5 years ago. It was a good job. I needed to have it re stretched though. Called them up, very polite, scheduled with complete ease, and no charge! The gentleman that came out was polite, courteous and quick. Installer was quick and did an amazing job at repairing our carpets do to bleach stains. He removed the carpet from a closet to patch the stains in the hallway, then he used the stained carpet to patch the closet back up. Not only did they do an amazing job, my appointment was 9-12 and they came right at 9am.

Sadly i would have to say that they are not to be recommended! in the beginning of my time looking and debating they were 100% but once we hired them the company completely did a 180 in all areas... i could never get a hold of anyone the owner never knew why i was there or what i needed help with.. they took forever getting things finalized. also they had to repair and relay my vinyl more than once they installers did THE WORST JOB EVER it was lumpy and unprofessional..they also dint do a whole closet the 1st time they came out i called and complained many times and was in tears.. i'm still having

My realtor recommended The Carpet Outlet and I am so glad he did. They have a great selection of carpet and padding and the best prices around. The whole experience from the measuring of my house, selection of carpet and padding, and finally installtion was smooth and stress free. Tom is fantastic and works magic with his pricing. Danielle was very responsive with any questions I had. The installers were professional and efficient. They left my house the way it was before they tore up my flooring and old carpeting.

I had a great experience with the Carpet Outlet. My first visit, Lynette spent about 30 minutes with me looking at samples, comparing them, and helping me find the best value for my money. She really seemed interested in the colors and patterns, rather than just trying to sell me something. She sent me home with two samples that I could keep for a week.
The next week they came to measure (included in the cost) and picked up the samples. I sill wasn't sold on the color yet, so I made one more trip to Gilroy to take a look again. I took two more samples home, and decided on the color.
