When LINNE CEO and founder Sandra Burton acquired a pond with her new property, she inherited a stagnant and noxious mess of decaying organic matter that acted as a breeding ground for mosquitoes and harmful, toxic algae. Combining her engineering background with her husband's work on photovoltaics, they created the PondHawk Solar Aeration System.
The patented U.S. Pat. No. 9290398 PondHawk design integrates the enclosure and mounting system making it easy to install. The inconspicuous and self-contained system can be installed even where grid power is not available. The tamper-resistant steel construction protects the wires and tubing from damage.
The solar panel dimension may vary, but in most installations it will be a plane angled at 30° with a width of 39" and a length of 64". The system includes the mounting structure and enclosure, solar panel, air compressor, weighted airline, tubing, diffuser, and platform. For PondHawk systems installed by LINNE Industries, it also includes the Quikrete.
