We got several estimates before choosing a window company to replace 18 windows. We felt Storm Shield had the best product, and the price was right in the ballpark with our other estimates. Although it was a fairly lengthy process, the final outcome is outstanding. The windows are everything we were promised and the installers Rey and Martin were polite, professional, and did a great job. Clean up was well performed and they showed us how to operate the windows. We will certainly recommend Storm Shield!

Critical: Professionalism
Shortly after hurricane door installed it fogged up. They refused to correct the problem (it was under warranty) and blamed the manufacturer.
There are many other professional, reliable companies in the area for windows and doors. Don't use Storm Shield!

Horrible company. Experience was more like a scam. I have had to involve the Florida Consumer Affairs Department with a formal complaint. Also discussing options with an attorney. Only the owners can access customers records. Owner does not return calls and his voicemail box is always full. Excuse after excuse after excuse. Don’t hire this company. Just don’t!!

Got 6 windows installed in my condo. What I was looking forward to soon turned into a nightmare. The first trio that they sent to install the windows put 2 windows in backwards and 4 were installed incorrectly. They also broke my windowsill. A month later, a second guy came out to fix this job and ended up taking out my windows with a crowbar and destroying all of the frames. Now, a third crew (almost 4 months in) has come to fix those window frames, and this job is not complete. I still have a broken windowsill, no sliding glass door screen and 1 window still needs to be repaired. All of this

I had 10 hurricane windows and 3 impact sliding doors installed by Storm Shield. I am happy with the product, overall job and response time to 1 issue I found after the install, a minor slider adjustment. As others have said the job took longer than expected, but these days everybody`s busy. Once my stuff came in and they got around to me things moved quickly. Their work crews are great. Clean, courteous and informative. I have no complaints.

I hired them months before to install my new double impact glass door with sidelights. They guaranteed it would be installed by the end of March. I called them about 2 weeks before just to confirm that everything was on schedule because when I signed the contract it was stipulated to the company and the salesman that it had to be done by that time because we were leaving at the beginning of April to return to MA for a few months. I called every day and was consistently told the owner was the only person that could give me the info I was looking for. Every day I was told he was out of the office

May 2020 I signed a contract to have all my windows and doors to be replaced. We chose Storm shield over the others due to having some stucco band repairs done. Our sales specialist John F. Confirmed with the owner, Keith, over speaker phone in our dining room, Storm Shield will repair. So of course we paid for stucco band repair for the front of house. Measurements were done and documented on the fully executed contract. Jay (sales mgr.) came out first day of installation to explain they dont do stucco band repair. I told him that is not what Keith or john had said prior to contract and paid.

Once we signed the contract and all materials were ordered it did take awhile for installation, due to delivery of windows sliders and door. However, it was well worth the wait! Dawn was fantastic at keeping me updated.
Joe and his team were excellent! We had all windows, sliders and front door replaced with Storm Shield. We love the job that was done. We did take longer than the 4 days expected, but the end result was great. We do have some service issues that have to be completed. I will update when they are completed. Thanks Joe!

I’m so happy with my purchase of impact windows from Storm Shield. The windows look great. The reduction in exterior sound is amazing.
The installation crew, Storm Shield employees not independent contractors, were courteous, efficient and very responsive to my questions. They installed 12 windows in less time than it took me to put up hurricane panels in preparation for Irma. They left my home as clean as they found it in spite of some challenges in removing the original builder grade windows.

My husband and I contacted this company and set up an appointment to get a quote on replacing our sliders with hurricane sliders. The appointment was made and the evening before the company called my husband's cell phone number instead of mine to confirm the appointment. He told them he would not be at the meeting but that I would. They refused to make an appointment without him being present. That, to me, discriminates against me as a female/wife, and prohibits me from getting the information needed. Do not do business with a company with these policies.

First off, I'll concede that home improvement contractors are currently very busy in SW Florida, so staying fast on one's own feet is a great idea, especially if you're not a year-round resident and are dealing from a distance. Anyhow, the field crews that I worked with were skilled and bent on doing the job right. I enjoyed working with them.
The patio door and window products look to be of high quality and low maintenance.

I had previously praised this company. I choose to do business with them again. This time my experience was the opposite of my previous one. Failure to return calls, missed deadlines, misleading fine print and an overall disrespectful, dishonest attitude. I guess the improved economy meams they no longer feel the need to conduct business in an honest, ethical, and professional manner. Save yourself the aggravation and do business elsewhere.
