What is Wood Rot? Wood rot is a type of fungal decay in timber, the decay comes in two categories, white rot and brown rot. Decay usually starts when spores from the rot come into contact with damp timber. The damp timber allows the spores to establish themselves and grow using the wood as a food source.
Foggy glass or seal failure is like a tire that has a leak. The space between the double paned glass is designed to create a vacuum that provides insulation from inside to outside temperature differences. When the seal is broken, air seeps in, condenses, and eventually creates a foggy appearance, evidence of moisture and/or staining.
Damage may occur due to impacts, exposure to the elements, misuse, and gradual wear and tear. Casement window components that can be damaged may include cranks or operators, hinges, guides, handles, and locks. Double hung window hardware may include jamb liners, balances, locks, tilt latches, and rope and pulley systems.

Window Makeover rebuilt the frames for 2 casement window panes, inserted new glass and rebuilt the rotted jamb. I was given access to the shop to stain the inside wood and paint the exterior wood of the framed windows before installation. The old mullions fit the new windows perfectly. The installation crew did a good job and did not leave a mess anywhere. This saved me about $1,300 over a total window replacement.

Window Makeover we just what we needed. We looked at reaceme t windows but most of them involved removing the wood trim I side the house. That was not what we wanted. Window Makeover built new windows just like the original and replaced the damaged parts. It was 10% of the cost of replacement.

Working with window makeover was easy from the first quote to installation. For the quote Kyle tested every window and told me which ones needed replaced and which ones didn’t.
They were always responsive via phone or email.
The crew that did the install was very kind and professional. I happened to be recovering from surgery at the time of install and they were very considerate in working around me. They cleaned up after and rehung my blinds.
We will use window makeover for our future window needs.

I purchased 10 windows for my sun room - back in April 2021. The windows came in with the Grids totally outta line - even for the one that replace all 3 slider were not in sync. They re-order them and after another 12 week 3 were still messed up for the grids lines. I've call every friday for last 2 months and told I would received a call and no one has contacted me yet. It's Oct 22nd and I still do have my windows. I suggest you try Glass Gru. I'm so disappointed - I will be filing a complaint today with BBB and the Attorney General office. This is really sad - 6 months and I still don't have

Amazing service from start to finish! There were four different people in the process- An estimator, the “double checker/orderer” (?), the installer, and the office coordinator. All of them were truly exceptional and friendly. I am so glad to have worked with them. On time, nice, professional, and great communication. It was a painless and budget friendly experience!!

I had a great experience. Luke helped with a final quote and product selection, when I wrapped back around to him several months after the initial quote was made before I purchased my home. He and another project manager also helped advise on some work I needed from my contractor (to replace some rotted wood) before the new sliding door and upper window could go in. The time between final product order and installation felt long, although the whole industry is pretty overloaded right now -- and they even called to reschedule the install one week earlier than originally planned, because their job
