Jos. M. Troffa is by far the best place to go for your building materials (gravel/stone) and yard-work materials (top-soil/mulch). You have to ask for Santos or Laura or Joseph. If you're speaking to someone named "Jon," you're in the wrong place. I had to learn the hard way that it's easy to get confused between this business and the one nearby with a very similar name. Make no mistake: It's Jos. M. Troffa you want to go to; he's the one who's been in business for decades -- the one with everything you need, and the one with superior customer service.

I went to Troffa Materials for bluestone for my driveway. Santos at the front desk was very helpful and arranged a delivery date for me. I asked him if he could have the driver "run it out" as he dumped. So the driver arrived on time and I showed him what area I wanted to fill in. The driver was very polite and did an excellent job spreading the drop through the area. This saved me a lot of back breaking time I would have spent spreading the material. The drop and service in my opinion was the best. The staff and drivers are all very polite and it was a pleasure dealing with them. I also thought

I’m building a walkway for the front of my house. I needed RCA and sand for the base material. Santos patiently helped me select the correct amount of materials based on the square footage I told him I needed to cover. He calculated how much of each I needed. Josh delivered it, deposited it right next to the walkway. He was very pleasant and helpful too. I’m planning to schedule another delivery soon for mulch and wood chips.

I researched 6 different places and by far Jos. M. Troffa Materials has the best customer service, products and prices. They patiently and very willingly helped my husband and I decide on which kind of gravel, how much, etc. The entire process from start to finish including Josh who delivered the gravel was top notch. Every year when I mulch the many beds around our house, I order from these folks. The mulch and compost are beautiful and inexpensive. Today a man named Josh delivered this year’s Fall load. In my 10 years of being a local homeowner, I have had many home landscaping projects. Some small do it yourselfers” and others that were bigger in scale using contractors. In both scenarios I have had great experiences working with them. Great selection of materials and very customer centric approach.
