Wallace & Smith Contractors was founded by H.R. Wallace and Earl O. Smith in 1950. Bart A. Wallace and George R. "Bob" Smith, the next generation, acquired the company in 1983 and continued the same construction services with many of the original employees. Paul Cooper joined the firm in 1989.
The Company advanced its presence and abilities with every project, gaining recognition for full service quality construction, with an emphasis on partnerships and lasting relationships.This principal to "do what we say we are going to do", and a complete opposition to non-productive litigation has created a loyal clientele and propelled our reputation as "the go to builder" in the local region.

Services
Wallace & Smith can provide pre-construction services to help define the critical first steps of a project for the owner, whether it be for a design build or design, bid build scenario. Once a W&S Team member is assigned to the project, that individual will stay with that project through to completion, assuring continuity of agreements and decisions made early in project will be adhered to.
The LEED Green Building Rating System was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council in 1998. LEED provides a nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings and specifically focused on suitable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
This project consists of a 17 acre site with 226 residential units ranging from 1-4 bedrooms each. Total residential square footage is 226,772 sf. There is also a 3000 sf community center with offices and a maintenance shop, as well as 3 laundry buildings and a playground. We are also completing all site work including wet and dry utilities, streets, sidewalks, landscaping, etc.
