Okay!! I recently moved to McKinney from Chicago and was so thrilled about a possibility of owning a pool. I had enquired at several places and they were all willing to talk only if we were ready to spend a minimum of $75,000 and it’s without addons features etc. and wherever I saw pool work it took a minimum 5 months to complete. Brian Waltz at Tropic island was the person we interacted with and we felt extremely comfortable pursuing our project with him. We finished our whole and huge pool with upgrades and travertine pavers in $75k and in 2 months. Great communication, updates and keeping

I am currently getting a pool put in by this company. When I tell you communication is terrible, I mean it. They will never reach out to you, you will have to bug them constantly to get answers and dates, half the time they don’t answer! Not only do they not communicate with you, everyone who was originally working on our project quit. They have made multiple mistakes in our yard from digging in the wrong place, breaking our fence, hitting our internet cord, forgetting and ordering the wrong lights for the pool and over all leaving our backyard a mess! We have 3 dogs, we understand the process

My experience with Tropic Island was absolutely horrible. Communication was non-existent, the carelessness of the work was absolutely ridiculous, They broke my fence in multiple spots with the machinery, they almost starting digging in the wrong spot from having the wrong blueprint, they had to come back multiple times to "fix" my fence while they left it broken for weeks at a time knowing that I have pets. They installed the wrong lights in my pool delaying the process even longer. They left my yard with trash all over it on multiple occasions. The attention to detail was just not there. I get

We’ve had these guys cleaning our pool for a while now. Service used to be decent, but has declined rapidly. We tried to get someone to call us to talk about a needed repair, but could never get anyone to actually call us back. Left multiple messages with their answering service, but nothing. Left a message saying that we wanted to cancel our service, nothing. Said to stop charging our credit card, nothing. Still charged it. Unbelievable really. Not sure how a company like this stays in business.

Contacted Tropic Island to trouble shoot a potential problem with our Sand Filter. They were booked solid and not able to provide service for more than a week - but they showed up on the day promised and the Technician (Kevin) was professional, thorough and quickly confirmed the issue was not with the filter and was able to improve the skimmer return flow by adjusting the valves. And Tropic Island waived the service fees because they could not provide more timely service. I strongly recommend Tropic Island for pool service.

Tropic Island Pools built our pool... we are extremely happy with the result. We chose them as our Frisco pool builder because of a recommendation from our friends. The communication was good throughout the design & construction. The workmanship is great. The weather did cause delays. It rained for 2 weeks - this was not their fault. I highly recommend Tropic Island Pools as a Frisco pool contractor.

I am pleased to write a review for Tropic Island Pools. My husband and I recently bought a home in the Plano area. Our home has a beautiful pool. Our initial contact with Tropic Island pools was to set up maintenance service. We chose them because they had a good reputation and because they are a family owned business. We have been incredibly pleased with our maintenance service. In fact, it was our maintenance technician that noticed that we had an issue with our pool system (which we had already suspected) that needed attention. He immediately texted us and recommend that we turn off the power
