I was routed to Avid through my UHP Home Warranty. They were prompt to call and schedule an appointment during a busy holiday week, worked with me to get additional claims opened for the several broken things in my house so I wouldn't be liable to pay full price to fix each, and arrived earlier than quoted! Eric in the main office was great to talk to over the phone. The plumber that came out, Collin, was very knowledgeable and super friendly. He explained things to me with patience and didn't make me feel like an idiot (which, for the record, I am when it comes to this stuff).

Had a gas line installed through the ceiling of our basement for a new range, and also had our water heater replaced at the same time. Everything went smoothly, the workers were efficient and they cleaned up after the work was done. Couldn't have imagined it going any better!

I called several companies for quotes on replacing my toilet. Avid was the most affordable, and the guy on the phone seemed knowledgeable and courteous. I was also impressed with Art, the plumber who came to do the actual work. He was polite, professional, and honest, keeping me in the loop and making sure I was comfortable with every decision. (He also wore a mask without me having to ask, which I really appreciated!) Will definitely be relying on Avid for my plumbing needs from now on.

First their plumber pulled the wrong toilet, and then blamed me for not telling him about the other bathroom. I explained to him several times there was a second bathroom upstairs. 2 months later the toilet is leaking again, in which I was blamed for it leaking again. I was told I would have to pay them to come back out. Wouldn’t even offer to come back and see if it was the same issue, or a different one. Would never use this service again. I’ll use a more reputable plumber that doesn’t hire children to do their work.

I'm so glad I found AVID Plumbing when I moved to Madison! I've used them to replace a Water Heater, install a water softener, replace shower faucets and replace a kitchen sink. They always do a great job. they explain the problem and what they had to do to fix it. They clean up the work site before they leave. And they're really pleasant to work with!

Had a garbage disposal/sink issue where dirty water and chunks of food came running out from under the sink all over the floor and backed up into the other sink. Very nasty! We have a home warranty so they chose Avid for us and when I called to make an appt, they were able to come early the next day.
I don’t remember the man’s name who came but he was great! Worked hard and fixed the issue. He even made very sure the problem was cured and showed us what happened and how to avoid it in the future.
We will call them for any issues we have in the future.

I am very happy with the service from beginning to end. When I needed accommodations when working with the drain tile company, they Avid was willing to work with the other service and offered much information to help me decide which services to use.
The plumber, Jake, was more than helpful and willing to complete additional services that were needed. He came over three days and did not add additional service charges. He offered ways that I could save money and was aware of the immediate need for hot water before he left on the first day.
I am very pleased with this company and will suggest them

Avid is working on my water softener and water heater. Not a great company. Walking around house no booties on shoes, didn’t take off shoes, not friendly, and shut the water off and didn’t say anything to me before they did it. Common curtsey would be to tell the tenant water was going to be shut off for x amount of time before doing it. Not impressed! I wouldn’t let them work on your house if it was me. Hopefully the end results are better than their customer service presence.

Avid installed our water heater 8 years ago...so when it stopped heating our water to a hot temperature we called them to service it. Their tech would not listen to our concerns and ensured there was nothing wrong with the heater. Rather he told us our shower heads were causing the issue - oh and the fact that we sometimes use hot water several different times in a few minute period.
Well after calling Cardinal Heating and cooling we now have hot water again. They diagnosed the actual problem in less than two minutes and we fixed it.
I'd stay away from Avid unless they start using

Had to have a toilet reinstalled after a flooring project. A pretty small and simple task, but Avid responded to my initial inquiry quickly and got someone out to take care of it as quick as possible. Service call was right In the scheduled window and the text updates on timing are helpful. The project was done in a short time and the cost was very reasonable. Recommend highly

I emailed on a Sunday with a request to follow up about replacing my leaking water heater. Didn't hear from them Monday morning so called and was told that Jenny would call me back, which she did not do. No one did, actually. Ever. Now, I like to shop local, but I also like hot water, so I ended up calling Home Depot and they had a guy from Sun Prairie get it done in under 4 hours. Boom.

These guys are amazing. Referred from a coworker and contacted online. Came over $500 under the estimate via email. Replaced old water heater, main house h2o valve, fixed gas leak and added RO system all in less than 3 hours!! Taught me some trade knowledge for my own DYI fixes too! Quick and efficient. Haven't used in a emergency but have heard great things from people I have referred them to and will if and when the case arises. This is the only A name for plumbing in the Area. Avid all the way all day!!!
