Services
We offer local moving & storage services to Boone, Banner Elk, Jefferson, Wilkesboro and the surrounding areas. Any move not traveling more than 35 miles from origin to destination is considered a local move and will be charged on an hourly basis. This hourly charge depends upon number of men provided in the crew.

We were assisted in our move 2 weeks ago, on November 1, 2021. We can't say enough good things about these guys! They were careful. They wrapped everything. They did everything we asked. They centered items for us. They took some items down to the basement. They were very calm, nice, respectful...all around great guys!

I’ve used Appalachian Moving for almost 16 years, up to 5 X a year. They’re perfection. They are incredibly careful with each & every possession. They work carefully but quickly. No matter which crew you get, the guys are kind, patient & make moving as free of stress as possible. You can’t go wrong. Book early, their calendar is always full because of how great they are. This is our second time using Appalachian Moving and Storage, and they were just as good as we remembered! The guys showed up promptly when they said they would, wrapped and moved each furniture piece with care, and were so respectful of our home. Thank you Appalachian Moving for a wonderful moving experience. The crew was amazing, very professional and always positive. My furniture was moved to storage with care and delivered to my new home in perfect condition. They were even able to deliver and unload earlier than expected. The delivery crew was so helpful and careful in placing furniture in the new house. Every step of the move was great. Appalachian Moving and Storage was superb! The crew was most efficient in handling our belongings and furniture and most patient when accommodating moving furniture around in our new home. Their friendly and upbeat attitude matched with their outstanding professionalism made for one of the least stressful moves we have had. I don’t know how they move all that heavy furniture day after day! The crew was in “beast mode.”They are the best and are greatly appreciated!
