Experience: 12 years of chimney and fireplace cleaning and repair experience. Tim focuses on people satisfaction and it shows. This extends to not only customers but to employees as well. They relined two Chimneys in my house and did an excellent job. Even the inspector was impressed with their work and made the comment "beautiful" as he shinned his flash light up the flue. I got four quotes and their quote was the lowest. Also when Anthony was up on my roof he saw the sheathings for ventilation were old and cracked.
Creosote is the residue left behind in your chimney after burning the fire logs. After frequent use, creosote can form a thick coating inside the chimney firebrick. If left unattended, this accumulated coating is extremely flammable and potentially dangerous, making regular cleaning an important task.

Never write reviews but these guys are great. I recently moved to Maryland from Virginia. I booked an appointment through the website. Day of I get a call that they only service NoVa but the appointment went through because it used my old address in the system. They still drove out here even though they don’t service the area! In addition, the home inspector on my new house said I needed a new chimney crown. The owner went up to inspect and said it looked fine. It’s that type of honesty I appreciate. Use these guys.

I really wanted to hire this company to clean my chimney. I scheduled an appointment on their website and it says I will get a confirmation of my appointment, usually within 24 hours. A week goes by and I have heard nothing. I tried calling their number more than once and it always goes straight to voicemail. I even left a message and have still heard nothing back. It's like this company doesn't exist or something.

Stay away from this company if you value your time and your sanity. They couldn't find their way out of a paper box. I exchanged a few emails with the owner Tim McGirl about my need for a new top-installed damper. He shows up and looks at me like I have five heads when I tell him that the appointment was for that repair. He thought it was for a sweep. He tells me he'll come the next business day. I waited all day and night. Nothing. He blew me off and has not in the two days since bothered to call or email me an explanation, let alone an apology for wasting my time for two straight days.
