We are located an hour north of Pittsburgh just outside of Mercer, PA, a pristine borough surrounded by farmlands and celebrated for its Victorian era history. We are a family-owned business that has been building custom timber frame homes and commercial timber frame structures throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia since 1991. From traditional timber frame homes and commercial buildings to residential additions, outbuildings, porches, patios, and more, we ensure every project is customized to your exact specifications, reflecting the aesthetic and function that suits you and your family best.
From 1981 to 1990, Ron Gabany and a 10-member crew worked in general construction building log cabins and residential and commercial buildings. Throughout this period, Ron learned about and continued to explore the craft of timber framing and the renowned men of the trade. In 1990, while building a timber frame home for his brother, Ron met the man who was to become his mentor, Bob Donahue of Atlantic, PA.
The timber frame home plans that are on our site today are there to give you ideas as you think about creating your own dream home or cabin. They serve as a starting point. We will work with you to customize a plan the meets your specific needs and wants. Not only do we use the traditional mortice and tenon joinery, but we also do something that many other timber frame builders do not -- we still handcraft the joints for a tight fit.
When you choose Atlantic Timberframes to build your timber frame dream home, as you would expect, there will be contracts, invoices and other official documents providing the details of the deliverables to you as our client.
