Founded by native Tallahasseean Jay Walker in 1991, Jay Walker Enterprises is Tallahassee, Florida's only CSIA Chimney Safety Institute of America and CDET- (Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician) certified chimney sweep. For 25 years, we've provided our neighbors in parts of Florida and Georgia with expert chimney sweeping services at competitive rates.
Tallahassee native Jay Walker began servicing chimneys in 1981, and 10 years later, he launched Jay Walker Enterprises, with a focus on chimney and home services. Since then, the company has been working diligently to provide comprehensive chimney, fireplace and vent services - from annual maintenance to leak repair and waterproofing protection - to homeowners throughout the Tallahassee area.
When you learn the ins and outs of chimney design, it becomes clear that chimneys are more than meets the eye. They're remarkable systems, made up of a variety of parts that ensure proper draft, protect the home's interior from heat, guard the chimney itself against water, and lots more. The downside of a chimney's complex design is that with a lot of parts, there's a lot that needs to be maintained to avoid damage and the need for repairs.
