We used Calder Homes a few months ago, and they replaced our entire downstairs floor, new molding, and quarter round and knocked down a wall. They were at my house for about a week and a half. Jason and his crew worked on our house on several projects: they re-finished our hardwood floors throughout the house, did our bathroom, did electrical work, replaced our AC, and more. We were used as a sub contractor for Calder’s natural stone countertops, and dealt with Les Bernard - Jason’s assistant. They missed two appointments and left a bad (misinformed) review on my page for some reason. Here’s the quality work Calder will put in your home. This is from a job we ripped out existing stone countertops (darker stone in pictures) and reinstalled new ones, because the cabinet installer either ordered the wrong cabinet or sent the wrong measurements. On October 29, my sump pump backed up. This put about 2 inches of water across my entire basement that was just finished back in April. I received several quotes. Calder homes was not only reasonable they were also timely. I didn’t know the extent of the damage at the time so I had them quote me for a couple of things I was unsure about. Jason and his crew remodeled a bedroom and bathroom to make them wheelchair accessible, as well as convert 2 additional spaces for home offices. The entire team was fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and above all, professional. The communication with Jason was great, and he was always quick to respond. We were never in the dark on the schedule or the process. We will most certainly be using them again for any future remodel/repair needs. Thanks for everything Calder Homes Team! Messaged Jason to see if he could re-stretch some carpet for me. He responded immediately and 5 days later someone (Pete) was there to do the work! Carpets turned out great and I was very happy with the turnaround time and service! I had tried some of the larger carpet stores and either got no response or the price was ridiculous. Will be looking to call him again for other projects. Overall very happy with the experience !

Frankly, I cannot believe after 1.5 yrs in a pandemic with numbers rising in our county that I had to even go through this. I called Calder Homes for quote to refinish basement, the owner himself arrived for the appointment to quote the job. As our home has not 1 but 2 immune compromised people we have a sign at the door to wear a mask prior to entry, and I too wear a mask to greet people, to protect not only them but myself and my family during these times as you don't know who is vaccinated and who isn't. The overall experience was less than satisfactory. The general contractor took advantage of me and openly acknowledged it.
Quality checks were never done for subcontractor work. Nails were left in the driveway after pulling the dumpster away. The job site was left with debris consistently. Drywall work was amateur. Lack of drop cloths meant exterior paint was dripped all over a brand new black roof in addition to the surrounding asphalt driveway. Lead paint abatement wasn't done properly, leaving paint chips all over the property. I was told that repairs to existing floors, adjacent to the new

I had a great experience with Jason Calder and Rochester Flooring. He was extremely attentive in returning phone calls and was able to get things scheduled very quickly for me. Jason was very knowledgeable and able to make sound recommendations. I had the installation done today and my carpeting looks fabulous! The installers arrived on time and they were professional and considerate. They did an excellent job with both installation and clean up. My new carpeting looks fabulous!

This review is long overdue! We closed on our new to us home a little over a year ago and hired Jason to do a major remodel as we moved in. He gutted the kitchen and master bath, took walls down, remodeled the main bath and much, much more. It was a project that started at the end of October 2019 and finished up just after the new year. We are extremely pleased with the work Jason and his team, (John, Chris, Pete, Bill and Santos), have done for us. They did multiple modifications to help with our disabled son. They widened doorways, added a ramp from our back porch down to the patio, and also made an entry from our sons room right into the bathroom! This is huge for us and will make it much easier to do simple things for him. They are professional and I highly recommend them for any job, don't let the name fool you! They can do anything!
