Raines Pool Service
Raines Pool Service is a family owned and operated business providing professional swimming pool service to our community since 1984. With over 25 years' experience under his belt, Charlie Raines launched Raines Pool Service out of his garage. In 1988, Charlie teamed up with his son, Chuck, and moved the business to a retail space in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania.

Over the years, Raines Pool Service has grown and expanded to include becoming an Arctic Spa dealer, and relocating to a larger facility located at 561 Durham Road Rt. 413, in Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940. Raines Pool Service utilizes the finest chemicals in the swimming pool industry, manufactured in the United States, to assure you get the maximum protection and enjoyment for family, along with protecting the equipment and pool surface.
Services
Congress has passed the Virginia Graeme Baker Safety Action (VGB Act). The VGB Act is aimed at reducing deaths and injuries from suction entrapment hazards. The VGB Act is divided into two categories: (1) public swimming pools/spas and (2) residential swimming pools/spas. The residential pools and spas portion of VGB Act makes each state responsible to adopt the VGB Act.
It is important to maintain proper swimming pool water chemistry. Water that is not properly sanitized and/or balanced can cause harm to swimmers, damage swimming pool equipment, and ruin the swimming pool finish. Raines Pool Service conducts computerized water analysis using state-of-the-art water testing equipment.
You can get chemicals and supplies that are incompatible with your swimming pool from a national chain store or instead you can visit Raines Pool Service for the one-onone attention you and your swimming pool deserve, from a swimming pool care professional. Raines Pool Service retail store has been at its current location since 1988.

Every time I come the staff is so helpful and friendly! I have gotten my water tested there multiple times and they have helped me pick out the products my pool needed. Overall, I have no bad things to say about Raines. I would highly recommend their services and products!

If you need services done, stay away!! I asked for a quote to get my tile redone. I told them I wasn't in a major rush and was happy to have it done when closing season dies down. They came out to survey pool. I was promised a quote within a couple of days. 5 weeks later and no quote. Finally they called me up apologizing and stated they couldn't do the work because they were too lazy. One just can't make this type of experience up. STAY AWAY...

Stopped in to Raines today. Needed a water bag, one of mine got a hole. When I stopped in they were more serious than usual and could tell they were a little down. When I first asked they blew it off, but I perused and discovered they had just found out a couple people had recently given a bad review on Goggle and were working on responses.
So now here I am with my first review. A positive review. Raines has been opening and closing my swimming pool since 2011, a couple years after it was built. I became unhappy with the builder. They open and close the pool and service the equipment when needed

Whatever you do stay away from this company. I used them to open and close my spa for 4 years. I've spent a couple thousand dollars with them buying equipment. This summer I needed a new motor and they quoted me over $1,100 dollars. I though it was high so I called another pool service company and they installed the same motor for $750. Now the good part. I just called Raines to close my spa for the winter and they said that they would not do it and that i needed to go to the company that sold me the motor. In other words, pay their outrageous prices or else. This is a definition of a terrible

I cannot vouch for their service. I have been using another local company that I am very happy with. I was very happy when they opened the new location because I live nearby. I regularly take my water in for testing. I have found their prices reasonable and they have never tried to sell me more than I need. Actually, I am regularly told to "try this first and see if that works" when they could have easily tried to sell me more. My the condition of my pool water has been consistently better since I have been going there and I have actually been saving money on chemicals because they help

Our pool installer currently services our pool, but I do get our water tested at Raines and all our supplies. They're always very helpful and honest, which this pool neophyte really appreciates.

We used Raines pool service for a pool inspection purchasing our new home. They said all the equipment was working properly...NOT! We moved in and found a huge leak in the pool cleaner line and had to dig up the patio to repair it. Also the pool light did not work. If they had actually tested the pool cleaner line I'm sure they would have seen the geyser of a leak spraying through the pavers. Do not recommend!! So far having much better luck with Gester Pools.

Run! Do not go here. The woman is crazy. They are overpriced and have horrible service. I would drive many miles to avoid them. I used them for years and finally got fed up with the poor service (never would call back or commit to when they would come for a opening or closing or repair) and the price was always several hundred dollars more. I suggest you use Sylvan or Country Club pools. Far easier to work with and cheaper.
