The personnel at APCO Pool Specialties Inc. are capable of any type of pool service or pool renovations, and work throughout Montgomery County and Bucks County. We can repair, renovate and restore all types of swimming pools and swimming pool equipment which are in use today. All senior technicians have at least 8 years experience in pool repair and restoration and are accredited by the APSP (Association of Pool and Spa Professionals).
Pool struck by lightning (see inset photo) damaged all wiring, bonding, and coping resulting in a total renovation of the pool. APCO often performs damage appraisals for many insurance companies. This involves us going out to the site of the damage and estimating the cost to restore the pool to the previous condition.
It's no secret that hiring any contractor can be an intimidating experience. Hiring a pool service contractor is no exception. So how do you hire a contractor to perform pool service or pool renovations without getting soaked in the process? It's the same thing you have always been told. You must do your homework to checkup on any prospective contractors.
There are four main types of pool cleaners: manual, suction side, pressure side, and robotic. Manual is just cleaning your pool with a hand operated vacuum. Suction side cleaners operate off of the suction from your pump and draw the dirt into the filter. These generally only clean the bottom of the pool well.

Disappointed in this company. This review could be very long and drawn out. However, instead of listing all the details I will summarize by saying APCO pools is unorganized, overpriced and the owner is extremely argumentative. I would avoid this contractor.

I rarely write reviews, but I highly recommend APCO. They've installed two liners for me throughout the years and I never had an issue with either. More recently, I needed them to assist me with a problem and was thrilled that they were quick to respond and able to meet my needs in a matter of days. Quite impressive, knowing how busy they are at this particular time of year. Big shout out to the APCO team!

I strongly advise against doing business with this company. They gave me a quote on a pool repair that was thousands of dollars more than the market rate for these items. The numbers went up after they found out I was in a hurry to get the job done and that I hoped to make back the money by increasing rents on my vacation home.

I had troubles with my pool for many years (some horror stories, believe me) until a friend recommended APCO pools - those guys had changed my pool experience - wow! Now I'm using APCO pools for about 5 years, they are extremely professional and I would not go anywhere else. I noticed some bad reviews - looks like a personal vendetta to me, don't pay much attention as many people now simply abuse social media.

Had existing pool retrofitted with new Garret vinyl liner. Apco could never remove wrinkles or find leaks. They patched 2 leaks in new cover and walked away. Garret would not help. I had to have another company come in and replace. They found multiple holes in liner and mold growing under liner. They did a complete replacement and we are now wrinkle and leakfree after first season. The entire process with Apco and Garret was a costly nightmare!
