Went in on a weekday afternoon and was greeted by a saleswoman. When I mentioned I was there to buy cabinet knobs, she seemed less than interested in helping me, despite the store being almost empty. I asked her a question about the type of metal a particular line was made of, she told me to google it and then proceeded to walk away saying someone else would be over to help. As I browsed the hardware boards, I noticed a salesman sitting at a desk nearby talking with a builder-client, neither wearing a mask. After waiting about 10 minutes for assistance, my stress-level got the best of me due to

I recently paid more than $20,000 for a new shower install and to have bathroom painted. Loved the tile work. That said, I felt nickle-and-dimed through entire process, and that I overpaid given the final result. I informed an employee that several feet of copper piping was left behind and touch-ups were needed. Never heard back from owner after he received final payment.

I went to Design 1 Kitchen and Bath to remodel a bathroom. I paid $1500 to develop the design. I worked with a competent designer to find the materials and design I wanted. When it came to the finally budget, it was way over my budgeted amount even though Design 1 knew what my budget was from the start. I decided not to continues with the project at that price. Unfortunately, I received nothing for my initial payment of $1500, not even the plan I worked on over multiple visits.

We recently bought a house and went in to the store to look at shower options and tile. We have done a lot of the demolition already and have most of the other necessities for a bathroom. The woman that started with us was very helpful and informative and showed us the different shower fixtures. She was working with another client so passed us over to a gentleman, which is totally fine except the gentleman was not a gentleman at all. He "politely" told us we did not have enough money for that store and we should leave all before even talking to us about what our budget was or what we

Recently my three young boys broke the lazy Susan cabinet in our kitchen. I contacted the cabinet company who informed me that I would need to find a retailer to help us get a replacement part. Design 1 Kitchen and Bath was the closet store, but also had amazing customer service. Kaytlyn went well above and beyond in helping me find the discontinued replacement part, as well as extras, in case my wonderful, adventurous, destroying children break the cabinet again. If and when we remodel our kitchen or buy a new home, I would definitely use Design 1 Kitchen and Bath for their quality service.

Horrible experience. The owner is really nice and friendly, came out to our house a few times to do measurements for an island in the kitchen, but after that it was all downhill. Cabinets took 8 weeks to come in, which may be standard not sure but seemed like forever, then got a call from him a week after the cabinets arrived at his facility saying it was going to be another 2 weeks before they could install them (not sure why they didn't pre plan and set up the installer for the week after they arrived, that would require a schedule or actual planning). Then had MULTIPLE issues with the granite

I've got a little unpleasant experience with this shop. I made an appointment with them two days in advance, however when I arrived I was told that somebody else was scheduled for the same time. They did remember me calling though.
My problem with such behavior is that I specifically planned my Saturday around this appointment and had to drive all the way to Bedford from Brighton to find out that I just wasted my Saturday on them.
Anyway, I am giving three stars just for their attitude. I haven't experienced any of their work.

We went to Design 1 because we were unhappy with the selection at the kitchen design showroom our builder contracted with. We told them up front we couldn't buy, that we were obligated to work with someone else, and we just wanted to look around. They were undeterred! They took an active interest in our project, gave us design ideas and seemed genuinely interested in our project, not our money. We ended up asking our builder if we could switch to Design 1, and we are very happy we did. They are a little pricier, but well worth it if you are a fish out of water when it comes to designing a
