LG refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing, all lights and control panel still working but no refrigeration. Called LG and they quoted $150 to send out an LG certified technician to diagnose and next available appointment is 3 days from now. Called SP. $50 to diagnose and came the same day. Turns out it's the compressor in a 7 year old fridge. Tech told me LG compressors don't seem to hold up as well as others as a compressor should be good for 10 or more years. Honest, straightforward, excellent customer service, super fair pricing, and knowledgeable. A++ for this company.

Honest--quoted price for new computer board plus labor would be half that of new dishwasher
Knowledgeable--dishwasher lifetime is only about 6-7 years nowadays. All brands similar. Best to buy midrange knowing you may have to replace in 6-7 years. My dishwasher is top of line Jenn-Aire, 8 years old. Now the challenge will be to find a new dishwasher in stock!
Quoted $60 service call, charged $50. Good consult.

The owner is professional and efficient and even came Christmas eve. He fixed my washer like it was nothing and had the part so we didn't even have to wait 30-60 days since most products are on back order. I would recommend SP APPLIANCE to everyone as he will be my new go to for all my appliances.

I got a call from my parents and the refrigerator was not giving cold air after blackout. So I had to search in yelp and found Peter. He responded the same day and was able to repaired same day. Which was impressive.
I was worried, the wait could have been weeks but fastest service brought my parents happy.

Called Peter when my refrigerator stopped working. Freezer was fine but the other compartment wasn't doing its job. Turns out the timer was broken, so he replaced it and told me to let it defrost overnight. Worked like a charm.
This is not a business based on a high sales pitch. Peter was on time, assessed the situation, and resolved the problem. I'm a firm believer of supporting good people and good businesses. Next time you have an appliance problem, give SP a call.

I found this place through yelp and THANK GOD I DID. I know when it comes to appliance or plumbing or HVAC, many companies can be expensive and not reliable. HOWEVER, I AM SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE FOUND SP APPLIANCE BECAUSE THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB, THEY WERE RESPONSIVE, AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I was able to have someone come out and assess my whirlpool fridge on the same day, RIGHT SMACK IN THE HOT SUMMER (popular times for appliances such as fridge or HVAC breaking down). My oven went out yesterday, obviously a huge problem since Thanksgiving is next week and I've got lots of cooking to do.
Was able to get in contact with Peter today and arrange for him to check out the problem when I got home. We arranged a 3 hour window, he called before coming and showed up promptly. He asked some questions about the unit, diagnosed the problem, quoted me a price with a 90 day warranty and told me how long to expect the life of my oven after it was fixed (we inherited it from the previous owners of the house).
Excellent service, would definitely use him again!

Our 10 year old LG washer was not working properly and was giving an error code. We messaged SP and they answered right back. We got an appt the next day and within 35 min our washer was alive! Engaged this company first time to deal with problem not resolved by another company with good ratings in Yelp. That company replaced the compressor in a Kenmore refrigerator using a unit forwarded /provided by Sears. Sears could not get out fir weeks.
We have experienced noise from area of the replacement compressor over last two years. Turns out the irritating noise-- which they did not resolve in a subsequent service call last year related to a bad compressor installation by that company:

We contacted SP Appliance on September 23rd to look at our Samsung refrigerator. Originally we were quoted 50.00 to come and check the freezer of our Samsung refrigerator and the fact that it is a New Refrigerator but was not dispensing water or ice. Our Washer decided to just unalive itself right in the middle of washing my unmentionables. After my mini-meltdown, and some chocolate provided by my husband, I got right to work in locating an appliance tech to come out and help us determine what, if anything, we can do.
I read the reviews on SP Appliance and asked my husband to contact them right away. Peter answered right away and was able to give us a same-day timeframe for later in the afternoon.
Peter stayed in communication as to when he would be arriving and was very polite and asked if he needed to take his shoes off before entering

Peter came out same day . He determined the issue in 5 minutes. Quoted a fixed price, and fixed in 1 hour. Asked him to look at the dryer vent that I thought had been cleaned out by the installers 7 years ago. He worked for an additional hour to ge it cleaned out . Charged an additional fair fee. I would strongly recommend his service.

Sent multiple requests (7-8) through Yelp and SP Appliance sounded the most like it's in the actually-fixing-things business and not in the large-useless-quote-writing business.
Peter called me to discuss what he thought was the problem: the pump. It had been dislodged and possibly damaged from being moving around a bunch of times by the recent kitchen remodel contractor. He recommended repairing (price A) first, and then if necessary a replacement (price B).
