Ordered windows from Boulder Ridge Sash and Door 9 weeks ago. They took my deposit and told me it would take 6 weeks for the windows to arrive. That was the last I heard. Today, 9 weeks later, I inquired about my windows and was told that they were not ordered because they overlooked my payment. All I got was that they are sorry and that they can order them if I am still interested. Guess what, I am not. I will take my business to a more reliable source and I suggest you do, too.
I came across other piddly stuff with them as well, not worth mentioning. However, this mishap today really ticked me

Our experience has been more than disappointing. We ordered all new windows and doors for our house and somehow everything came in wrong. First, our sliding door arrived with the opening on the wrong side. We had to pay to install it since we had many people working on our house and could not run our heater for them with a massive hole through the wall. It's been 8 weeks and we are still waiting for the new one, which means we will have to pay for the remova of the old one and install of the new one. My interior doors were promised within 3-6 weeks... it took 10 !! And halted my entire project

We bought a beautiful bi-folding door from Boulder Ridge in 2012.
We started having trouble with it sticking so I called them to come look at it.
Garrett came right out and explained to me that the ground had shifted and was making the door stick. He gave me a few options for fixing and it is now working!!!
Great customer service!!! I would definitely recommend!!

Our French door wouldn't close due to the deadbolt not retracting. We were concerned as we'd had a bear in the house last fall and didn't want to have open access to the house. I called the shop on Saturday and didn't expect them to answer the phone but Garrett picked up and said he'd be right over. He identified the issue, went back to his shop for the door lock mechanism and fixed the problem. We were able to sleep soundly that night with the door lock fixed! Garrett know his stuff and did the job well and very efficiently and for a fair price.

This is probably the most frustrating buying experience I've ever had. The sales people were friendly and initially seemed to know their products. However, once the process started they couldn't seem to follow through. It was one delay after the other with excuse after excuse. The door was scheduled for delivery 3 different times. One delay was supposedly because we picked a non standard door knob - only it was in the same catalog as the door and we were not told that it was going to require a special order or that it would affect the delivery time. We ordered doors and windows for our entire home in Carnelian Bay from Garrett Carlson at Boulder Ridge Sash & Door. Garrett is AWESOME!!! We LOVE his doors and windows and his exceptional customer service- very personable!

We ordered doors and windows for our entire house from Wade at Boulder Ridge. He is like a used car salesman. We have had NOTHING but problems with our new construction and his products. We are nearly ONE YEAR later and we can't get Wade to respond, there is finger pointing between him - the distributor and the manufacturer. I would NEVER use him for anything. Nice guy - terrible service and stretches the truth. There are way too many other options.
