I took way too long to write this review but I owe it to Chuck.
Hoyt replaced my cement tile roof for a real tile roof. Chuck was
attentive, concise, very acknowledgeable and a true professional.
The price was fair. The work went smooth and very fast
considering the amount of destruction necessary to replace
a roof. There was some rotting wood, and the charges to replace
it was very fair. The work was finished on time. Chuck was on top
of all the details throughout the whole project. It has been three
years and all I can say is that our roof is beautiful, we haven't had
any issues

Hoyt repaired our roof edging and caps due to weathering. At the time, they did not recommend a new roof. Six months after the repair, during summer rain storm season, we have a leak. Coincidence, maybe. My problem is that they would not look at the problem for over two weeks AND wanted to charge us to come out and evaluate the roof. If you look at their website, there is no mention of repair warranties. We will likely put on a new roof using someone else and consider money to Hoyt a complete waste. If you're looking for quality, look no further than Hoyt Roofs. Hoyt has put two roofs on my parents' home (main dwelling and studio) and has done a fix to part of my roof (that had PRIOR caused a leak in my living room) and just replaced my flat roof last summer. Next summer I will have the last part torn off and redone. I really like Hoyt because they walk you through what you can get for your money and the different types of roofs out there that will fit your home.

Fantastic job. You get what you pay for, so don't expect Hoyt to be lowest bid. However, if you want quality work AND quality workers then these are the guys. Everyone an employee, not just picked up on the way to.your job site. Magnets do reasonable job of picking up the nails. Employees are professional and clean up after every work day.

I am updating my review of 2-15-2021 due to some bad customer service we recently received. My husband left two messages with Chuck, requesting some help or advice with an issue. We never received a return call. Apparently, once your project is completed, they no longer have time for you. Very disappointing.

The workers all seemed to take their jobs very seriously. Kenny, Ricky, and John were all pleasant and professional to deal with. The crew meticulously cleaned up our driveway and atrium at the end of each workday. My only complaint is that Chuck was routinely disrespectful to my wife. If you use Hoyt, try to avoid dealing with Chuck.

These guys did an excellent job on our roof. There was a bit of delay getting the job started, but once they did it was done in 2 days and a couple of hours this morning. I particularly love that they went all around the property with a magnet picking up any nails that may have fallen off the roof. They covered the pool really well, too. They're done, and aside from a beautiful new roof, you'd never know they were here! Another point - everyone on their crews is an employee - they don't take laborers off the street. 1 Forget that I wanted and stated numerous times that additional insulation be included. It did not happen.
2 make decisions that did not match the rest of the roof and I wasn't aware until the job was completed.
3 I don't know where this dew that pours off my roof for the better part of a sunny day comes from. Each morning it looks like it rained. No problem with previous roof.
So unhappy with the results!

He first bid and explained our job accurately and thoroughly. He then guided us through selecting new tiles. We went with Eagle who has a great showroom where you can see everything they manufacture. It's located in Irvine. Chuck's team features several "star" journeyman roofers who really know what they're doing. They bring in "extras" as needed for both initial demo and final clean up

If I could turn the clock back, I would not have used Hoyt. They quote you one price on the phone, and then the price skyrockets when they get to your place. Then you're stuck with either paying their $295 service charge for no service or paying them the hiked up price to have them do what you described on the phone.

This review for Hoyt Roofs is way overdue! Completely satisfied with Hoyt Roofing and highly recommend!
Five years ago, we hired Hoyt to replace our house's original (1980 built) wood shake roof with a complete tear off and new clay tiles installed, replaced old skylight, added a new skylight, and installed new rain gutters.
That original wood shake roof was in bad shape. There were some leaks because some darn raccoons had torn holes in the old crumbling wood shake and got inside the attic; when it rained, it leaked into those holes!
We got about five roofing estimates and were not impressed

If I could give a 0 I would. The workers that completed our roof job were very messy and did not clean up thoroughly after the job was completed.
The office personnel Angie was very rude and unprofessional.
The company did not communicate about the job in areas where things could have gone wrong. There was really no one who came back out to properly inspect the job. The workers took off our cap to our water heater and when asked where it was to put it back on they said they would have to find it. Well they never found it and never replaced it. The piping for our heater in the attic was taken

I had my roof replaced last year and Chuck and his crew were awesome. I requested a repair at a second location. They sent someone out on Feb 15, 2019 to inspect. I called a week later and estimate was not ready. Called a week after that and inspector said he emailed it 2/19/19 but I never received it and asked if he could send it again. No reply no email. I called few days later they said inspector went on vacation and would have to wait until 3/6/19 for him to come back. Its 3/7/19 and I still have not received an estimate. I will be looking for another company just wished it could have been

When I bought my house in 2012 it was fully disclosed that the house needed a new roof. It had worn out asphalt shingles installed over the original wood shake shingles. I got away with ignoring this for 5 years. During the "El nino" rain we had winter my roof finally started leaking. Bob T. gave this place a 5 star review so I had this place bookmarked. I called them in a panic and they sent a guy out who patched up the roof where it stayed waterproof for the rest of winter.
Not wanting to press my luck I knew 2017 was the year to get a new roof. I wanted Hoyt but got a few more
