Cira Energy
You've seen recently how some out-of-control wildfires were the result of an aging power-grid system. As a result, over-demand has not only caused rolling black-outs, but it's placed people's homes and physical safety at risk. A solar roof system will help contribute to solving the problem instead of contributing to it.

Not sure if a solar roof system in California is good for you? Southern California has plenty of sun-light to benefit everyone with a solar roof system. It adds value to your home or commercial property and can help reduce or maybe eliminate your utility bill. Do you know if you are in need of roof repairs or roof replacement? Our sister company, Western Roofing Systems, offers roofing services across Northern and Southern California. Call us for roof repairs and installations to make your roof solar ready.
Services
When you hire Cira Energy to deliver a quality solar roofing system, you are accessing over 30 years of construction management experience in roof installations and solar roofing solutions. As a core extension of Western Roofing Systems, you have the support and solid foundation of a family-owned roofing services company.
Light striking the solar modules contains energy in the form of photons. When the photons hit the module's silicon solar cells, energy is transferred, freeing up electrons. These electrons move through the silicon to the nearest wires and create positive and negative charges. When the millions of electrons flow through the wires of the solar electric system, they create electric power.
Since residential rates are "tiered"-meaning the cost per kilowatt-hour (kwh) increases as you use more energy - your cost to run your household items depends on the overall amount of electricity you use. The basic charge for residential customers covers some non-energy costs associated with providing basic services such as bill preparation, meters, meter reading, and customer accounting.
A customer investing in a solar PV system should understand the economic payback on his or her investment, even if there may be strong non-economic e.g. The initial investment depends on the system size. A convenient factor that takes this into account is the price per peak Watt (Wp) of the system.
A: A photovoltaic cell, or "solar cell, " is the smallest semiconductor element that converts sunlight into electricity. Each cell is made of silicon or another semiconductor material, like a computer chip. The silicon is treated so that it generates a flow of electricity when light shines on it. A stack of thin layers of semiconductor materials exhibits the photoelectric effect, such a silicon or cadmium telluride.

I have updated my review: After a couple of years in service the panels, controller, wiring, software, etc. are working flawlessly. Although we had issues at the start, the system is meeting all expectations. Last year our electric bill for a four bedroom house with AC was $162. for the WHOLE YEAR! (PS: Our sales person was Ski. He's very thorough.)

A solar project is more complicated than most companies would have you think. There is a lot of coordination needed involving roofing material, orientation, panel selection, permitting, HOA issues, installation, wiring, control systems and utility company correspondence. I interviewed several suppliers and went with Cira Energy mainly due to the professional impression and good follow up I saw from Kory Frost. What I didn't expect was the need to interface with at least 6 other individuals in the company including their installation team. But every one of the individuals knew their role

Had solar paneling installed while a new roof was put in. Kory and his team made this happen seamlessly. Very happy with the work.

I checked out a number of different solar vendors before I moved forward. With the exception of Cira they all made outrageous claims about the potential savings. The Cira team was honest about what savings I could expect with each configuration and what that configuration would cost and how soon I could expect a payback. They were very competitively priced and the work they did was done on schedule and on budget. Additionally they are associated with an excellent roofing company so I knew I wouldn't have to be worried about a cowboy on my roof drilling holes that later leaked. You can not

Cira Energy handled the solar panel installation with competence and professionalism. They told me what they were doing at every step in the process. They completed the job in a timely manner. The integrity of the metal roof was restored after the panels were mounted. The wiring conduits for the inverter (which is mounted in the garage) are not obtrusive and look great. They were present when the SCE inspectors were certifying the installation to answer their questions. The result was an immediate OK to go on line. I highly recommend this company.
