Carol's passion for traditional homes extends back to her East Coast roots where she grew up around some of the oldest homes in the country. At age 10, a family vacation to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina inspired her to become an architect. Equally right and left-brained, Carol attended Rhode Island School of Design (for her right brain) and Clemson University (for her left brain).
She has been mentored by architects of international acclaim including the late Elizabeth Wright Ingraham, one of the most outspoken advocates for modern architecture and environmental stewardship - and one of many descendants of Frank Lloyd Wright who inherited the call to architecture. In 2001, Carol founded rom architecture studio, a boutique firm dedicated to the design of fine single family residences.

Carol is a magician when it comes to bringing a vision to life. She worked within the constraints of our property size, budget, and landscaping features that needed to be maintained and produced an absolutely stunning remodel and addition to our 1920's craftsman.
Ten years later, her work on our home is still being featured on HOUZZ and other similar periodicals.
Not six months goes by, that we aren't referring friends, neighbors, and even strangers to her.

We hired Carol for a whole house remodel of a newly purchased 1920s home after reviewing her prior work and observing that she tailors the design to the style of the house and the current/future needs of the client.
