Lamp repair work has been part of Solano Lighting's major operation from the very beginning. In the past 30 years, we have turned a lot of vintage lamps into modern wonders for our customers. Lamps made at the turn of last century were constructed durably in classic style. After having been used for generations, the electrical components are worn out, yet the structures are still strong.

We brought in for repair a vintage brass torchiere floor lamp from the 80's. The light in the dimmer, and therefore, the light would not come on. We tried a new light bulb but to no avail. We read the great reviews of Solano Lighting and brought the light in. The owner thought that the problem was in the dimmer but wanted to check out the whole light. She called me the night before it was supposed to be ready to say that she had run into a problem. She said that the issue may be in the top of the light, in which case it could not be repaired since the parts are Italian and made in the

This store is the best, and the owner (Cindy) is exceptionally knowledgeable and responsive. I do not often write reviews, but this business is worth the effort. I give this store my highest recommendation. Today I went to purchase a lamp and found one that was perfect, and at a fraction of what one would pay in other lighting shops. In addition to this, I was really impressed by Cindy. I am a good judge of character and I immediately became aware of what a jewel this lady is: genuine, helpful, and kind. I am so happy with my new light fixture from Solano Lighting. The varied and interesting selection allowed me to find just the perfect fixture for my dining space. Manager Cindy was so helpful and accommodating…..she opened the box and checked on the condition of each piece and cleaned the globe. I love this light. I highly recommend Solano Lighting. Very nice people and a good selection of interesting lighting fixtures.
We don't live near Albany. And we couldn't find anything we liked in our local lighting stores. So for us it was worth the drive to Albany. Solano had several fixtures that we liked. And we bought a chandelier that we're very happy with.

I have 2 little lamps that my grandfather made. They are very dear to me and I was so relieved with the care and expertise Cindy showed them! She is kind and warm and knowledgeable. She even called me to follow up and make sure the lamps were working. Cindy, and Solano Lighting, were recommended me to a friend who has lived nearby for over 40 years, and now I know why.

This is a fabulous store! Not only do they have a very unique selection of all kinds of lamps and shades, they also offer lamp repair. I had purchased a really fine ceiling fixture a couple of years ago. And love it. Recently though, I went to change a light bulb in a lamp I have had for many years....the light bulb burnt the instant I put it in the lamp. A friend advised that I should throw the lamp out as it could be a fire hazard. Then i remembered that Solano Lightning had lamp repair! I took the lamp in and for a modest price, it is now repaired. Like new

I recently visited Solano Lighting to have a table lamp repaired. The staff was friendly and did a great job explaining to me the exact reason why the lamp had stopped working, and gave multiple options for repair based on how I would like to use the lamp. The repair was done quickly, and they even followed up days later to ensure the lamp was still working properly. I also felt like I learned valuable information that I can use in the future to troubleshoot lighting issues at home. Overall my experience was great, and I would definitely return for repairs or other lighting needs.

I was so impressed with the service I received at Cindy's lovely shop! I brought an older lamp in for repair. The cost was very affordable. Cindy was very courteous, organized and prompt. I am so happy I found this local shop! Also great to note that they have a pretty large selection of hard to find light bulbs. If you are in need of a new lamp or have one that just needs a bit of love, go see Cindy. She's great!

Took an old lamp of mine in for a repair several weeks ago and was most impressed that Cindy did everything she could to give me an accurate quote as to what was needed and also to point out that the chord was badly worn and could lead to a fire hazard. So she replaced that as well and now my 80 year old lamp works like new. Thanks again and this is a great place to take any kind of lamp to be repaired.

When my wife and I needed a replacement floor lamp on short notice, Cindy was super helpful in showing us options so we were able to select one and return home, lamp in hand.

Cindy did a fantastic repair on our 4 vintage lamps. They're not fancy but we're glad we didn't have to throw them away. The price was great and cheaper than getting new lamps. She even left a voicemail 2 weeks and checked to make sure the lamps were working and that we were satisfied with the repair. Great shop and looking forward to getting a new fixture in the future as they have a great selection.

I needed to replace the lamp on my night stand. I decided to go back to my usual haunt and was not disappointed. Solano Lighting had many beautiful stained glass lamps for me to choose from. All at reasonable prices. I was also able to visit with Cindy, the owner, again. Which is always a pleasant experience.

What a great little light store. We are at it again. We have resumed our quest to find a pair of exterior lights for our Eichler. Given the distinct, love it or hate it style, changing stuff is difficult if you want it to look right. In this case with our recent (yes I did it all myself) exterior refresh we decided to correct a wrong with our exterior lighting and find something in character with the home.

While visiting relatives in the area, my wife and I noticed this attractive lamp store and wanted to explore. Their window display was appealing so we made a mental note to stop back when they were open. During our afternoon walk we headed for the store and found four possible lamps to our liking. The store manager was very pleasant, greeting us as we entered, and allowed us to browse. Very helpful in our decision process. She brought a new lamp over from the warehouse the next day all ready for us. Will definitely visit her store again upon our return.

We Been shopping for lighting for our dining room for weeks and weeks! We couldn't find anything we liked. We were pleasantly surprised by the vast inventory at Solano Lighting and liked several lights right away. Cindy was fabulous, professional and friendly---demonstrating incredible technical knowledge about various aspects of her lights.
