Larry Kelley, a glazer who has been in the business 35 years, founded 494 Glass and Mirror in 2001. Since then, the family-owned business has grown from strength to strength. It recently opened a showroom and storeroom at 25422 Loop 494 in Porter.
That means we reflect your needs and meet them with the highest of standards. We ensure that your home or business has the best glass protection and that it is installed safely. The installation team of Carl, Sam and Devin were very professional and safe removing our three 6 ft windows and installing new ones. Carl was very responsive, returning all calls timely and arrived exactly on time. His knowledge of the process allowed them to finish in half the estimated time, and they did a great job cleaning up afterward. Thank you!!

This people can't even give out their correct email or contact information. The young lady that answered the phone gave me wrong email address twice. Finally talk to a man named bill Elliot and he gave me the same two email address spelled different . When ask why was i given the wrong email address and he got mad and was ugly and rude to me and started yelling at me . No way i am going to give these people my hard own money to do anything for me . No reason to be yelled at or treated like that for any reason . They treat people like the over the phone god knows how they will treat you if you give

I needed a very unusual window - triangular double pane with solar bronze- about 12 feet above the ground replaced as the inner pane had cracked due to the foundation settling. They very promptly came out measured - and delivered the window and installed it exactly as they promised. Excellent service by a very professional team. They even cleaned a ceiling fan inside about 12 feet up while they were there.
I highly recommend them and will certainly call them if I have any future glass needs.

A glass panel on our garage door broke, and I called 494 and scheduled service. The two employees arrived early, took measurements, and went back to their shop to cut the glass before I knew they were there. They arrived back (still early) and called me, and the replacement took about 15 minutes of my time. Very efficient and courteous, and they gave me some advice on cleaning the paint off of the other glass panels in my garage door. The employee who took my order on the phone was also very helpful and courteous. We will call them again if we need any other glass work done.

494 replaced my old sliver framed shower with new seamless style glass panels and door. It looks great and is a "must do" when updating a bathroom. The staff was very knowledgeable and work done quickly and professionally. I also had them cut some glass for my wood breakfast table. It protects the top and looks great. I would recommend 494 Glass for any glass needs around the house or commercial.
