Knowledgeable, courteous and prompt, Douglas gave me expert advice and did a check and did not charge for the inspection since a sweep was not necessary. Even got up on the roof to remove creosote from top of chimney grating. I'd recommend this business to anyone, as a matter of fact, 30 minutes after he left I did!

Doug Heart and his staff are excellent, and they are my "go-to" Chimney (and duct) experts for my buyers and sellers. They are honest and very knowledgeable about all things related to chimney and ducting, and their estimates are both comprehensive and reasonably priced.

I feel very comfortable recommending Heart's for buyer inspections in real estate transactions because they are honest and offer the buyer a true picture of the state of the chimney/fireplace without alienating the seller with an outlandish and over-reaching inspection report/assessment.

We did eventually schedule an inspection and Julie came out and gave me a quote for repairs. I like Julie - she seems like an honest and hard working person. After some more messages and phone tag and miscommunication with Douglas, a date for the repair work was scheduled. There was some more miscommunication between me and them as well as between them but Julie did arrive for the appointment and completed the job. Thanks Julie!

Found Heart's through our NextDoor community. Our dryer vent hadn't been cleaned in years so thought it was time. Called Heart's and found them responsive and helpful and scheduled them to come out the next day. They arrived on time and began the task of cleaning out years of lint from out dryer ducts. Their service was professional and efficient and they were great about cleaning up the mess as they worked. They ran into a small problem with how the the dryer tubing was connected and made a quick and inexpensive fix. We also had them inspect our chimney but all was good on that

Like other reviewers, my experience was that Hearts has very poor communication. I spoke to Douglas initially who seemed very knowledgeable and booked an appointment. He then canceled the morning of the appointment. I had a very hard time getting ahold of him to rebook. I finally got a brief text with a reschedule date but had a couple follow-up questions and could never get ahold of someone to answer them. Due to the challenges, I decided to go with someone else (which was a simple and straightforward transaction) -- and was never able to get ahold of anyone at Hearts to confirm my cancellation

Julie was really great. The chimney was cleaned quickly, thoroughly, and without any mess or hassle. She made recommendations based on my needs and situation. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and humane. I won't use anyone else.

I'm a realtor and I was in a very tight spot with a quick deadline and a last minute need for a chimney inspection. I had called 6 or 7 with no luck when a colleague suggested I give Heart's a try. Julie was there in 40 minutes and gave our clients a thorough and professional report on the condition, repairs needed, and estimated costs - after scrambling up on the roof as well as a box up look.
