Bica's Lock Shop is a family owned and operated business that was started in 1971 by Joanne Bica when her children started back in school. Joanne took a locksmithing correspondence course with the encouragement of another local locksmith C.J. Milan of Milan Key Shop in Kent, Ohio. After a number of years in business Joanne was being asked to make service calls to people's homes and businesses in the local area.

A small but important job, I locked myself out of my house, and Bica's Lock Shop was able to get me back into my house within a couple hours. Though they were on another job at the time I called, they stayed in touch with me, and were able to swiftly get me back into my house. They truly went above and beyond, and showed great customer service and a sincere desire to help. Excellent!

Closed on our new house on 3/15/18, and had Bica's Lockshop come out that same week to quote rekeying the locks and replacing the sliding glass door lock, which was broken. We gave a key to a painting company, knowing they would only be valid while they were there. When they were finished, around 3/22/18, we had Bica's Lockshop come back to do the work quoted previously. There are three doors and a sliding glass door, all had different brand locks. In order to use the same key, two locks and one deadbolt had to be replaced. Bica's Lockshop came and did the replacing/rekeying work

I didn't know he did small jobs until I found him here on Yelp. I called him to describe the small job. He came within 30 minutes, gave an estimate, and then said he'd be back later in the week. He then came back that same day just to get the job done because he had other business later in the week. Most guys would just delay a small job until that other work was finished, but not this guy! He did fine work too, but I could tell that he took the job because he could see I was in a pinch and needed the help.
