In the early 1970s, our owner, Dennis Mommens moved to the Mexico area, hauling propane and eventually started working in the heating and cooling business for a local company. In 1997, Dennis, knowing he could provide the area with the best customer service around, ventured on his own and opened Mommens Heating and Cooling LLC.
We offer sale, service and installation of all equipment we provide plus service to all commercial and residential furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, geothermal systems and water heaters. We also service commercial kitchen equipment and small refrigeration systems, up to 40 tons. This may not sound like it's directly related to air conditioning and heating, but it is extremely important.
Of course, we want your furnace and air conditioning running at its highest efficiency and providing you with the maximum amount of comfort. We feel bad when we have to charge our customers to do simple repairs they might have been able to fix without our help. Here are a few of the most preventable services calls and some troubleshooting steps.

We have a 30 year old Lennox furnace system that started blowing cold air in the middle of the night and would not work in the auto setting on the thermostat. It would not keep the house the temp that we set it to unless we turned the fan to the on setting on the thermostat. We called the emergency line at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday and the repairman was at our house by 9. Thirty minutes doesn't seem very fast but we live 20 minutes from Mexico and he was at our house in no time. He was very professional and had our house warm and toasty again pretty quick.
