Hired Dave for some work in the kitchen at my new home. He was awesome. Super professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous. By going above and beyond, he found two major issues that were missed during the home inspection--and probably saved us a ton of money and an enormous headache down the line by making us aware of them now. David was very thorough and meticulous about his work and it shows. He explained everything beforehand and made sure we knew what the final product would look like. Throughout the process, he walked us through the details and kept us updated on progress. We had purchased a detailed mosaic tile that required a lot of small cuts and David handled it like a pro! He also removed our 6 in backsplash before installing the mosaic tile. We are very satisfied with his work and would hire him again for any future tile projects.

Dave installed tile around a two way (open in two rooms) gas fireplace in both the living room side and the bedroom side. The fireplace was not installed correctly, so he first replaced the existing sheetrock with cement board. He then replaced the existing tile hearth (which was all cracked) because it had been glued directly to the slab. He mounted the new hearth tile on a mastic which would protect it from cracking as the house settled. He removed the illegally placed mantel (too close the the fireplace) and installed tile around the fireplace. He cleaned up after his work every day. He talked

Dave at DJ Tile is very experienced at his craft. My kitchen subway and my backsplash are so beautiful. Dave's attention to detail shows in his work. My grout was set perfectly and so were my tiles. The design over the stove was very challenging to do. There were a lot of cuts and lining up the design, I'm grateful Dave was my tile setter and cutter. Dave always cleaned up after the end of the day so I could have part of my kitchen back. Great work and great attention to detail. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He even worked with the fabricators for the granite to get something fixed we would have never known about without his help. His work came out amazing and I would recommend him any day. 5/5 stars doesn't quite explain how DJ Tile exceeded our expectations. Dave's work is beyond meticulous. If you are looking for a contractor who will do superior work while being mindful of your home for a competitive price you have found the right person. We have a rental apartment on our property that had a shower that showed signs of failing and possible water damage. I called several contractors before choosing DJ Tile. I made the right call. Dave provided a solid recommendation on the replacement tile and a very accurate estimate. There was more water damage than anticipated but Dave was able to properly mitigate and correct it. Dave does it old school with a quality hot mop and mortar bed floated walls. The walls came in extremely flush and level. Sooooo happy with the job Dave did. We had to part ways with the contractor that remodeled our kitchen due to poor work, so we were pleasantly surprised to find an honest and hard working business owner. Dave did everything we asked and much much more, even correcting mistakes from the previous contractor. I will definitely be using DJ Tile for all future jobs.

We have had DJ Tile perform two flooring jobs at our house. After the first job a couple years ago, we only wanted DJ Tile back out for the second job and never considered anyone else. We consider Dave an honest and forthright contractor. We’ve never once felt he overcharged us for anything, and has always been upfront about costs. He’s always provided a timeline for how the job will progress, which was essential for this last job that included our kitchen, dining area, and living room. Dave is a great person as well as a professional in his field. He takes lots of time and effort making sure that everything is right in terms of the installation. He goes above and beyond to be sure his clients are happy with the product and finish of the tile. He spends time on small details and will always ask how you want the installation in terms of style and craftsmanship. He wants his installation to be the best possible. I have known Dave Johnson since 1998 .I am a tile contractor myself and hired dave for about 5 years .I do most work myself ,however Dave was one guy I trusted to do jobs for me .He always did great work for me , and had happy customers.I since moved to Colorado and DJ Tile has went his way and is doing well.It is hard to find a man with great integrity,and a tile business that is an owner operated shop,as DJ Tile is.I wish I had a replacement for him now ,but that is a hard find.If you hire Dave Johnson you will get a great job.At a fair price,and will meet a great person.
